If you are heading from Earls Cove to Powell River you NEED to try Sharon?s Grill-it. My family and I stopped at Grill It before... the ferry and Sharon was SO busy, and she was all by herself with at least 7 orders at a time, and she didn?t even write any ofthem down, she remembered everything! I stopped by the food truck to just purchase a water, then I saw the lady ahead of me purchased an amazing looking order of Mexi... fries, so I just had to reconsider! I ordered the pulled pork fries made with homemade BBQ sauce and hand grated cheese, and I?mtelling you, so delicious and sooo worth it - especially for that price (very reasonable)!! Sharon is super friendly andpersonable, and you can tell she loves what she does. I love seeing the passion and pride in people when they love what they doand deliver such great product. Very nice experience by the Earls Cove ferry. We had a poutine and it was very good and quite large. The area is spectacular... with views to the mountains and the water. We saw a few burgers ordered by others and those looked equally good and largeportions. Reasonably priced and everything looked fresh and good quality ingredients. Lovely staff, we had a nice chat whilewaiting for the ferry. There is a picnic area with washrooms right next to so it?s perfect for a pit stop. Highly recommended totry if you are in the area! Came here while visiting Earls Cove, met Sharon and ended up in conversation - she's such a warm, genuine, and quick witted... person, plus clearly a local treasure with many regulars! Friendly service and great conversation from Sharon, delicious food and great prices. We were staying in Egmont and this was a... great spot to grab some lunch as most places are closed during the week in April. If you're not taking the ferry, stay left forsigns for commercial trucks/parking, and then as long as there's no ferry docking, you can go past the folks waiting for theferry and there's parking to the right near the picnic benches or you can u-turn and park on the shoulder where the food truckis. Talked to Sharon, the chef, while waiting for our food. She was a head chef at several resorts in the US (including Louisiana,... where she learned BBQ) and trained chefs at a culinary institute in New York City. Her food is delicious - you can't go wrongwith the pulled pork fries and the fired chicken burger. If you missed the ferry consider yourself lucky and have lunch at hertruck, you won't regret it. Oh mama, if you are looking for a meal look no further! I stop at this truck everytime I go to powell river and she never... disappoints. The crispy chicken burger is amazing and I found a new favorite, the pulled pork fries. Highly recommend trying thefood. Read more
