Last year, I decided to branch out and give Bayou Bugs a chance rather than going to my regular crawfish joints. Here?s my Cajun... boy assessment... (Out of 5 stars) Spice: -4 stars: While the crawfish tails didn?t have much of the spice, you coulddefinitely find it in the head and in the garlic, celery, onions. It was a great flavor and had plenty of kick; I just wish itmade it into the tail meat. Crawfish Taste/Texture: -4 stars: the crawfish needed to soak longer to absorb the flavor betterand to allow the tail meat to separate from the shell more. 25% of my tails were sticking to the shell and came out crumbly andwere likely boiled for too long (over-cooked). Summary: needs less time boiling, more time soaking. Crawfish size: -3 stars:For May I definitely expected larger crawfish than I got. Most were on the small side. Potatoes: -3 stars: standard redpotatoes; not large but not small. They were bland and clearly not cooked in the same pot as the crawfish or at least not nearlylong enough. Service: -5 stars: live music and a nice outdoor seating area. Staff was friendly and quick. I?ll probably beback at some point because I did enjoy the food, but it didn?t take the place of my favorite place in town for boiled crawfish. Read more

Great place. Friendly people and delicious food. Bought a sack of live crawfish. Larger than average with only 3 crawfish out... of a 32lb sack that had to be culled. Very satisfied. Read more

Bought 5 pounds of shrimp at $13.99 per pound. Frozen and full of ice. I was told they were fresh gulf shrimp. They are same... shrimp you get in a grocery store that come from overseas. They were deveined and headless. Fresh gulf shrimp are not deveinedusually. Not USA caught shrimp. There is an obvious difference. Way overpriced, small, and texture is terrible. I won?t go back. I went there on yesterday. I bought 6 pounds of crawfish, 4 potatoes and 4 corn. The crawfish was seasoned very well. Great... taste. But my complaint is, they couldn't have been this season crawfish. The meat was mushy. There were too many heads andno tails. It made me wonder if the head was a resale from the dine in. I was totally disappointed, this time. I don't know ifI will go back. Read more

This review would be 0 stars if allowed. The crawfish are bland and the tables & chairs are soaked in bleach. This will ruin... clothes in a heartbeat and the owner is an a$$ when you advise him of this. Customer beware!!! Read more

We order from here almost every weekend and it's been great for the most part. The other weekend our food was cold though and... last weekend the service was TERRIBLE. The girl taking the togo orders was extremely rude, then when she forgot something, wehad to go back to the counter and ask her, she then rolled her eyes and charged us for something she forgot. Like I said forthe most part, this place is fantastic, but the last two times were very disappointing. Not sure if we will be back after thecustomer service last weekend. Read more

Came to bayou bugs a month ago and got some crawfish. They were small because it was early season, but they tasted great. Drive... 15 miles out of my way to get some today. Ordered 5lbs of crawfish and 2 lbs of crab legs. Got home and the crab legs weren?t inmy bag. Had to drive 15 miles back to get them. They tasted like they?d been boiled yesterday. The texture was way wrong. Thecrawfish were good as far as taste, but it was mostly small crawfish with a few big ones put in with them. I won?t go back.Second experience here was TERRIBLE.
