Positive:The service was pleasant quick and attentive. The performer was fun and the overall highlight of the... evening. Negative: The food. The best dish was mediocre and the worst was inedible. The dumplings were easily the worst I'veever had. The were incredibly dense and the texture was more like a pierogi. Frozen dumplings from Hmart,Whole Foods,or TraderJoe's are better than the doughy abominations we received. The rest of the entrees were boring,bland or poorly prepared. I can't rave about this place enough. I decided to try it for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. The band was amazing and... they played a Stevie wonder set. They also called up people who were celebrating and sang them happy birthday. The food wasgreat, I tried the wings and the Shanghai noodles with chicken and my friend had the Thai red curry with shrimp. Everything wasdelicious. For drinks I had the Billie Holiday which was really good and my friend had non-alcoholic lemonade which she said wasgreat. We also went downstairs and tried out the lounge. It's really nice with a different vibe, drinks, and bar menu. I trieda pink drink with vodka but i forgot the name. However, we didn't stay long because when the band starts their next set itdrowns out the music downstairs (maybe that's intention so you can still listen?). Food=great. Entertainment=phenomenal. So what was the problem? Nothing ruins your night like a waiter who slanders you to your... friend after you leave. Elliot or whatever his name is - shaved head and glasses. If you don't like your customers, most peoplejust gossip about them with their co-workers when the customer's gone. Seriously, who goes around spreading rumors and lyingabout people out of spite? What grade is he in? Bottom line: it only takes one person to ruin your night, and congratulations,that waiter took the cake. Read more
Went here last night had an 8:30 reservation. We are from out of town and arrived a little early (8:15) and we’re told they... wouldn’t be ready to seat us until 8:35. NBD, we went down to the “speakeasy” and had a cocktail- which was great. We wentback up around 8:45 and there was now a crowd of people waiting to be seated. Others were complaining at this point as they werealso told they would be seated at 8:35 and had left the speakeasy to be seated for dinner. We were seated by 8:50. At 9:05, noone had come over to give us water. I walked over to the water pitchers in the dining room and poured it for us. There werewaiters around and none batted an eye. There was a table of six seated behind us and the waitress walked by our table many timesand did not even acknowledge us. By 9:15 no one had come to take our drink order or fill our waters. Others were alreadyreceiving their appetizers at this point so we left. The host did ask if there was anything that could be done, but at thispoint, we’d lost our appetite and desire to see the show. Reading through the comments, it appears this was not a one offexperience over the last few months. The service is terrible. There were three waiters and it was not busy. Staggering seatingtimes would help and also allowing more time for turnover so tables are ready at the scheduled reservation time. Read more
The food and ambiance was great! Drink service was a little slow (not a complaint just a heads up). They were completely... slammed that night and trying to navigate around the jazz band was an impressive feat I saw them accomplish. If you're lookingfor the usual 5 minutes drink times and 15 minute meal times, this isn't your place. This is a relaxed, chill vibe, jazz andrestaurant bar. So just come and enjoy the music with a cocktail or two and an order of the Korean Beef BBQ. Read more
Absolutely lovely experience! We dinned outdoors in July of 2021--they had a great setup with a large tent and well spaced... tables. The service was fantastic (shoutout to our waiter, Elijah!) and the food was phenomenal! The veggie eggrolls were someof the best that we had ever had, as well as the chilled sesame noodles and rice cakes. The music was fantastic, but can be abit loud if you are sitting close to the performers--child friendly too, the children loved dancing! Would recommend making areservation ahead of time to guarantee space for bigger parties. Overall, great experience for outdoor dining during the summer! Read more
It was my first time here but DEFINITELY not my last! The food was incredible - the selection and the flavors, just wow! I... recommend the fried rice and the red curry. Both were delicious! And then you add live jazz to the mix? It was so enjoyable! Themusicians were interacting with the crowd and taking requests. I loved every minute and I can't wait to go back.
