Bone Fish Grill on Mineral Point Rd, Madison, WI has declined in the quality of food that they are serving. I went there in... July 2022 and ordered the pasta dish, which came out cold and was far from tasty. I thought that maybe this was an off day, sosince I like calamari, I decided to give it another shot in September 2022. Firstly, they were out of calamari, so I orderedthe bang bang shrimp as an appetizer. I ordered the steak and crab cake combo for my main meal, which was absolutely inedible. Firstly, the crab cake was dried out, the broccoli was overcooked as if it had been sitting there and they microwaved it to heatit, and the steak was like cutting through leather. I am baffled that these people can, in good conscience, serve suchdisgusting food to paying patrons. I literally couldn't take another bit after the first few bites. I definitely will not bereturning to Bone Fish Grill, period. Read more
Beautiful evening with service and smiles. They accept the Veterans Discounts so that's a plus! Excellent food as it was... prepared and served timely. The bread and dipping pesto oil was also excellent. The keylime dessert ???? (not pictured) waspretty amazing, although I would've preferred it more room temperature melt in your mouth. Neat and tidy restaurant. Great place for cocktails and appetizers. Friendly and knowledgeable staffs. Great service. Non... confusing menu. Appetizers are amazing;especially the bang bang shrimp. Crab meat French fries (new) was amazing either. Liquorpresentation was great. We loved it. Entrees side, filet and lobster - they nailed the filet temperature but it was more onbland side for me. Seasonal sides could have been cooked more. Tacos was good. Salmon was great!! Restaurant has a big parkinglot, entrance faces east and north. Wheel chair accessible. Clean restrooms. As much as I want to give 5 stars because of the service, the food just didn't taste good. The good: The service was amazing.... Our waitress was lovely and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing, quiet, and modern. Would love to have drinks at the bar sometime. The bad: The lobster tails were tough and the mashed potatoes were bland (my friend said the ones at the old folks' homewere better). My steak was very tough and almost completely flavorless aside from the char flavor, which tasted like a dirtychar instead of a smokey one. The asparagus was also incredibly undercooked. Went here for lunch this snowy afternoon. The food was delicious and the service was great. We had mussels and tuna for... appetizers, followed with lobster tails and ended with the macadamia nut brownie. Everything was perfect ! One of my new favorite Madison restaurants! The food was amazing! Their menu had a good variety of stand out, unique dishes. My... husband and I ordered a couple appetizers and an entree. You are also served complimentary bread with oil. The beef ginger potstickers were so good and served with chopsticks. The imperial dip was excellent, it had lobster, crab and was so cheesy. It wasa served with seasoned fresh tortilla chips. My husband and I each had the burger and fries. We both loved it. Fries wereamazing and seasoned so well. The burger was really good too, cooked perfectly and the sauce they use is great. We each had 2margaritas and both really liked them both. The service was prompt, our server was great and the hostess was very friendly. Weate on their outdoor patio which was really nice and spacious. The restaurant was clean and beautiful. I am a strong believer that you get what you pay for. With that said I am aware that this is a chain restaurant and with such... places food quality will lack. My steak medium rare as well as medium well were both very difficult to chew and flavorless. Thechicken marinera was too salty for my liking. Their mac & cheese was pretty decent and dessert was delicious. This is a greatplace if you are in a budget but yet want to get the fine dining feel. Read more
