This place is a joke for flavor and the price is outrageous for the quality, people rating 4-5 stars and mentioning that its so... good or great are the same people who bring mashed potatoes with raisin to the party. Ribeye and Strip was really bouncy, MediumRare and tasted like canola oil(lowest grade cuts you find at big local super centers). The Jambalaya is tasteless! WHERE’sTHE CAJUN?! Dashing paprika is not Cajun LOL. The Ahi tuna salad was embarrassing to look at(5 very small low grade pieces oftuna). Seafood pasta is an let down with much salt and Blk pepper needed. The conversation at the table was comparing the foodand steaks to other steak restaurant and we all come to an conclusion that even TexasRoadHouse/Longhorn was an way betteroption. I don’t think this restaurant will last long if they keep this same bland menu! I’m surprise they still are lol.Drinks at the bar took about 15 mins(it’s a tuesday night)Party of 8 with an $500 plus tab. 4/5 Atmosphere 3/5 staffs. Unbelievable. This place is amazing. Great food, great drinks. And the BEST service (Natalie had the best recommendations).... Experience was awesome. This will definitely be one of our go to spots when we visit Madison!! Read more

Let me start out by saying this was my favorite restaurant in Madison. But apparently I haven’t been there in awhile. I was so... excited to get a plate of truffle fries! I knew it had been awhile but not so long that they were OFF THE MENU!! I almost leftbut I was dining with someone, so I stayed. It took me several minutes to get over this however. I ordered the cheese curdsthinking they wouldn’t be that good, but to my surprise they were the best thing I had that night. They were so crispy Ithought maybe they were tempura, but no, it was just regular cheese curds. The cheese was gooey and tasty. My dinning partnerloved them as well. I do have to add in this review that the staff certainly weren’t what I was use to seeing at Bonfyre. Thehostess looked like she was leading us into a shady bar in the way she was dressed. Really not appropriate for that type ofplace in my opinion. Then we got a glimpse and SMELL of the man with all the gold chains on. I think he must of bathed in hisfavorite cologne as we could taste it on our lungs. This is not an exaggeration! We finally asked our waitress about the smelland she replied “oh that must be Buster!”. She said it as normal as she deals with this daily. I’ll tell you, that manalmost ruined our meal. And he really took his time as we watched him mostly sit on his phone. I ordered the wood fyre chickenwith vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was fairly small and dry for 27.00. The green beans while be good atfirst had a lot of them that I couldn’t swallow because of the hard outside. The garlic mashed potatoes are always a treat. Half Thai Chicken Flatbread was delicious! No shortage of toppings. Swapped the BBQ chicken sandwich for a burger patty.... Classic bacon cheeseburger with a nicely upgraded cut of beef. Very juicy and tasty!! Prime Rib Sandwich could’ve used alittle horseradish in the horseradish cream, but still a very nice sandwich. Sweet potato fries are fantastic! My husband and I were on a weekend get away and we wanted to find a classy place to eat on our last night in town. Bonfyre was... elegant, there drinks were amazing, our waitress was extremely friendly and the food was spectacular! The only thing I wouldcomplain about is that the food came out to quickly because we wanted to spend more time there then we did. It was amazing! Read more
Very great atmosphere here. Generally we are fast eaters but we really wanted to enjoy our time here as the drinks were... delicious and the food was cooked perfectly. The grilled and smoked taste are hard to match they do a great job. We triedshrimp, bacon, chicken, steak and ribs; all were great. On a final note we wish all mashed potatoes tasted this amazing! Came here with family for my birthday. Ordered cheese curds as my appetizer and they were pretty tasty. For my main, I ordered... the bone-in ribeye and wasn't too impressed at all. For the price, you'd expect a little more quality in the cut! It was cookedto my liking but unfortunately, chewier than expected. Not tender at all really. Not too impressed with the services hereeither. Waited 15-20 minutes to receive a couple of drinks at the bar. At least the drinks were strong? Our waitress wasn't tooattentive. Came in and out just to take our orders, bring our food/desserts and check. I don't think she filled our watersonce. Overall, not impressed. Definitely not a restaurant I'd frequent. Read more
