I'd love this place but they don't have air conditioning in the lobby, only back by the employees so it gets incredibly hot if... you sit in. You can sit outside but the patio umbrellas can only do so much. If they fixed the temperature inside this would bea great place! Read more

I've been living near this little cafe for years. I love the space and the atmosphere. Prices are about average for... non-starbucks cafes in the Madison area. I recommended their iced tea and their soups. I'd recommend going there during theearly or evening hours. Students and professionals really like to park themselves there. Read more

I hemmed and hawed over all the delightful vegan options in the pastry case here at Cargo Coffee (lemon poppyseed muffins,... peanut butter bar, cowgirl cookies), and in the end all I wanted was oatmeal. So delicious and didn't need the sugar because ofthe sweet cherries and almonds. I am reminded that Cargo, IMHO, has the BEST almond milk latte in town. Additionally, themanager (Candy) here is so accommodating, and when I asked if the Gotham bagels were vegan, she ran and got the ingredients listfor me (some are, some not). Other options include a case of juices and other beverages, smoothies such as a green mango or redberry, blended drinks, sandwiches and soups that are sometimes vegan, "Green Wrap" with house-made hummus that can be madevegan, and a PBJ on local sourdough. I can't attest for the food here but I do love the tea. Cargo is my favorite stop for a chai latte. It's just the right level of... spice and flavor. Yum! Also, besides the variety of menu items, they also sell bags of coffee if you're interested. Read more
