Decided to come here for lunch and coffee on my 30-minute break, worst mistake I could've made. As an ex-Starbucks shift... manager, what I saw was absolutely appalling. The woman on bar went in between straight up ignoring drinks and talking with herother employees. Particularly bad here was who I assume was her supervisor, someone with a distinctive man-bun (as I don't knowhis name), who consistently talked and gossiped with her, distracting her from her job, while drink orders piled up. There wereseven other customers waiting in the cafe. Several left without grabbing their drinks, as they had to wait so long. One man cameup to the barista and complained, as he had been waiting longer than I had. She still didn't get the hint and kept movingincredibly slowly. Over the half hour (my drink order was printed at 4:43 pm, I received it at 5:05 pm) I watched the woman onbar produce a total of 8 drinks. Again, as someone from Starbucks, the typical barista with more than a few weeks training canproduce 8 drinks in less than three minutes. There's absolutely no reason why she should be taking so long. It is completelyunacceptable and unprofessional to be distracting a barista while her drink orders are piling up, and refusing to reprimand herfor taking too long. This was one of the worst experiences I've had at Colectivo, and am certain it was just that crew ofemployees. However, this makes me really hesitant to come back, as I had to scarf down my sandwich with less than a minutebefore I had to be back at work for my shift. Thank you for your disgraceful disregard of customers' convenience and time. Withemployees like this, I seriously wonder how you remain in business. Read more
I ordered the chicken bacon avocado melt as a take out to eat for dinner and didnt get it because this sandwich doesnt have... obvious bacon or avocado. Can I get a refund on the melt?? I ordered a drink too. The drink was great tho. Read more
Basically, ?sorry for wasting your time, have a nice day,? customer service. Except without the second part. I stood and waited... for 20mins for my drink. A very unique drink but not too difficult for any barista. I ordered a dirty chai [latte] with almondmilk. When I order I just said ?dirty chai with non dairy,? they asked what kind of milk, I said almond, they asked hot orcold, I said hot. No less than twenty minutes later I get my drink, only after asking what is taking so long. It?s a busy day,and I?m patient but when you see many other people who came in later leave with their orders, you start to wonder. Then I askedand the cashier said my order was up next. It was too hot for me to sample while there, and I had to leave. But I took a sipand immediately noticed something was off about the drink. Turns out my label said chai tea add milk and add 1 shot. I?m sorryif I offend anyone who orders this, that?s not my intention. The drink I got tasted awful. So I call the store, and to mysurprise at least I got someone right away who could address the issue. Yes I got a refund, but along with the refund I justgot a bunch of excuses. Like really? I went out of my way to go a place that is suppose to know how to my this order, theywasted my time and had nothing to offer for customer satisfaction. This is probably an isolated incident. The workers here really are the full package?consistently offering quick and friendly service paired with great drinks and food.... Amelia helped me the last time I came in. I?m an infrequent coffee drinker and was only picking something up for my girlfriend,and after explaining that I truly had no idea how to order something she would like, Amelia put together a drink that mygirlfriend loved and I found delicious. She also made a lemonade for me. I?ve been coming here for a few years just for thebaked goods and food, but I might find myself a coffee enthusiast before long if the drinks are always this good! Always a coffee shop that I visit whenever I?m in Madison, Wisconsin. They have some very tasty seasonal drinks, as well as a... solid espresso pull and amazing pour over coffee. This location is always a bit busier than some of the others I feel due to itslocation, but it?s still worth dropping in for a visit. Read more
