The appeal of a Cracker Barrel is the low cost for decent comfort food. Unfortunately this was not it. For my party of four... there were issues with each persons meal. The food was truly bad. Salty, flavorless, low quality ingredients and preparation. What's worse is that the ham they served... had gone bad - smelled like rotten meat. The manager handled it poorly - indicating there was no issue with the ham, when itwas certainly disgusting. The waitress even indicated she doesn't eat their food! Read more
We promised ourselves that we would go to a Cracker Barrel on our trip. This was one of the farthest north locations on our path... and it was a little quieter than we expected at lunchtime. But that shouldn't have given pause. This location was great. Thestaff were very helpful. The store was clean and had just what you expected for good products. The food was prepared just rightand was just what we were hoping for. The manager on duty was very engaged with her staff, checking on tables, picking up highchairs, and keeping everything moving for her team. We were very impressed with this location and would recommend it to others.If we're driving through Madison again, it's on our list of pit stops to eat and relax! Read more
You pretty much know what you are going to get at Cracker Barrel. There is an old timey store filled with interesting items and... treats, along with the restaurant usually featuring a country style chicken dinner. Read more
I have been visiting Cracker Barrel restaurants for many years. Our meal today was still their usual good home style eating. ... The last several times we have visited we have NOT enjoyed the "in your face" declarations that we should purchase alcoholicbeverages. I think that is a new profit center, for them. We do not drink and hope that the family atmosphere we have enjoyedin the past is not threatened by this strong promotion of alcohol. In addition to our meal we purchased two dresses and adecorative towel. Which were reasonably priced. Read more

Unfortunately our waitress was having a very bad day & forgot to put our order in. She apologized put a rush on it & comped our... coffee. When our order arrived mine was chicken instead of beef & one egg instead of two. After 45 minutes, I wasn?t about tosend it back & wait longer. It was very tasty. Read more
