A little on the spendy side, but well worth it. Staff were professional, food was excellent, and the chicken dumpling soup is to... die for. It's the best soup I've ever had. Four stars, being a grade 'B' from me. Sometimes I want the Country Club experience without paying for the Country Club or even... like being a member of a Country Club. There are a few different spots around town that do this experience well, Delaney's isone of them. Service was top notch, start to finish, top to bottom from the Host/I assume Manager to the Bartenders and waitstaff. Come here for a hassle free easy dining experience. The prime rib was ok. The wedge salad was great. I kind ofexpected an old fashioned here to be stellar; they didn't muddle the fruit. Older, but not that old, crowd. Read more

I took my partner for his birthday on the recommendation of a friend and we really liked it. The staff were lovely (lots of fun... at the front bar, especially!). The food was excellent. We started with a half order of mushrooms, which was more than enoughfor an appetizer (the table next to us ordered a half order of onion rings and it was GINORMOUS). My partner ordered the filetmignon (Oscar with asparagus and bearnaise), Caesar salad and loaded baked potato. There was so much food he couldn't even getto the potato. Lol I had the salmon with cherries and mashed potato medallions. It was knockout delicious and I'm stillthinking about it. If the beer cheese soup is on special, definitely get that too. We really appreciated the attentiveness ofthe staff. They didn't hover but we were never short drinks and everything came out at the perfect place. My husband and I visited during a trip to Madison, and were blown away! The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing! We... were seated promptly and had three wait staff waiting on us but didn't feel rushed during our meal. The seafood bisque is amust, though the rest of the food was absolutely delicious.
