Came from out of town and was so happy to see a pho place near our hotel as it is one of our favorites. The man who greeted us... was very nice and happy to have us there. The food was GREAT! Delicious Pho & fast service at lunch today!! Try the Deluxe Pho with all the meats, tendon, etc. Fresh sides served with... it..lots of crunchy fresh bean sprouts, jalapeños, a wedge of lime, and basil vs mint. Plenty of sauces on the table, too, toadd extra flavor or to spice it up even hotter..yum. My Vietnamese friend recommended this place to me as authentic and it sureis. We are on the end of a road trip cross country, and this is maybe the best place we have been. The food is absolutely delicious.... The staff is very accommodating. We needed an all vegan/vegetarian meal and they modified and clarified everything. My mother isfrom Laos, so I've had good authentic Pho my whole life and this is perfect. Fried tofu really impressed me! Nice and crispy with a unique twist from the lemongrass on top. Fresh spring rolls were just... okay in my opinion. I appreciate that they put shrimp and also pork in them for more bulk, but neither pork nor shrimp had freshflavor (but what can you expect for shrimp in Wisconsin?). As soon as the nice older man set the bowl of pho on my table, thearoma of flavors hit me and I knew it was going to be good (and it was). Atmosphere is simple but peaceful. There was some loudbanging going on somewhere in back briefly.. not sure what that was about. Nonetheless, I am going to be a regular here, forsure. Read more
