If this isn't the best breakfast spot in the city, it must at least be on the short list! We arrived 10 minutes before open and... became part of a short line at the door, in the rain. By the time we left, the place was full and the line wound along thebuilding outside-- and I'd say it's worth the wait! Really intriguing menu with a mix of healthy and decadent options. Friendloved his pancakes and only wished there was more peach compote on them. The chorizo omlette was perfect in every way --flavors, how it was cooked, not too dry. Breakfast potatoes were unique, and perfectly prepared. The sourdough was reallyflavorful as well! Definitely would like to visit again someday. Read more

I've been coming here one weekend each year for about 11 years in August for the Great Taste of the Midwest. I go here at least... twice during that time for their phenomenal breakfast. It almost doesn't matter what you get, as every menu item won'tdisappoint. Their omelette's and skillets and hash are great. As are the heirloom bloody mary's. Better yet, in a week I get tocall myself a resident of Madison, and I can't wait to get my weekly Marigold fix. Go here. Read more

We sat in the outdoor area right next to the Farmers Market on Saturday morning. It's a first come, first served system where... you get in line and order when you get to the front then grab a table of your choice and wait for your food to be brought toyou. It took about 15 miniutes tosit down. All of our food was delicious, tasted fresh. Staff was very nice and attentive. This was a perfect daytosit outdoors but r there are also plenty of seats inside. The place was always busy so it's good toexpect a wait when coming here. We'll return!! Read more

The breakfast at this place was out of this world. Honestly, I?ve had breakfast in LA, Manhattan, Portland, London, Paris, Rome?... I?d have to say this is one of my favorites. You should absolutely check it out. The potatoes are out of this world? They?rebaked goods are outstanding, their various breakfast plates are exceptional. Good for vegetarians as well. Read more

Went here with a group of 9 today, and it was a great experience. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. When you get... to the restaurant, your order your food first, get a number, and sit down at a table so be prepared to order right away! Thereis a variety of sweet and savory options and the portion sizes are perfect. Very affordable! Will be back to try other things onthe menu. Read more

Please don?t tel my Grandma, but these may be the best pancakes I?ve ever had. Both the OG blueberry and the buckwheat pumpkin... spice melted in my mouth and were bursting with flavor. Staff was super friendly, atmosphere was cozy, and I am happy. Read more

Don?t let the line scare you- That?s how you know it?s good! Plus, it moves really fast. My friend and I stopped in on a Sunday... morning and were seated immediately after visiting the counter to order food. We ordered a cappuccino; a chai latte; the roastedsweet potato, kale, and pesto hash, and the avocado toast. Everything was delicious! I will say that the portions might be onthe smaller side, which worked great for me bc I don?t love having a ton of leftovers in the fridge. Overall, visiting thisplace was a win! I will definitely be back! Read more

Marigold kitchen reopened better than ever. The quality of menu is by far better than any downtown breakfast and lunch eateries.... Fresh squeezed juices, healthy options and tasty ones. The latte we had was so so flavorful. Friendly service. Coziest interiorand layout as well as pleasant color palette for dining in. I can?t say enough how much we did enjoy everything here. Read more
