This was the 1st time for my family to visit. I give it 2 stars for the young lady at the register helped us understand the menu... and how to order our meals. Along, with the young man that was cleaning the outside eatting area that interacted with my specialneeds child. She was tickled pink when she told him thank you for everything you do. He smiled and told her, you're welcome. Noone else would even acknowledge her when she talked or asked questions, beside the 2 I spoke of earlier. When we got to theother side where we pick up the orders, I understood that order numbers do not get called in order. But, we stood there 30 plusminutes waiting for our meals. Everyone, including employees were getting their orders before us. All we ordered was 3 smalldrinks, 2 bacon cheeseburgers, 1 cheeseburger, 3 small fries, and 1 small onion ring. When our number was finally called, Iasked the young lady that was calling numbers if this was normal to wait over 30 minutes for an order. She said they are busyand turned away from me. I didn't even get to ask my other questions. I also could see my number written on the bags in marker.Our burgers sat there for a while. There was plenty of fries and onion rings to fill the order. Yet, many orders were beingfilled and not ours. Our burgers were cold, drinks weren't full, onion rings were hard, and only the fries were hot. We ALWAYS love Portillos, but tonight we were met Terry and Mama Lee at the Madison west-side location. Portillos is so lucky to... have them both, they are so friendly and make everyone feel welcome! Clean dining room and delicious food, we already can't waituntil we can get back there. This is an embarrassment. Cold food. Long waits. Rude staff. Wrong order three times. I?ve grown up with this... establishment. DO NOT COME HERE. This place is nothing like the actual experience. Drive the two hours to go to a realPortillo?s. This place should be shut down. Read more
I went to Portillo's at around 8:00 on a Saturday night. Food was okay and came out almost an hour after I ordered it. the chili... dog I ordered came with more onions than chili, and the chocolate cake shake I ordered had a large layer of unblended cake atthe bottom. The cup the shake came in had a hole in the side, if the cake at the bottom was blended it would have leaked out, soit was a blessing, but mostly a curse. I can not reccomend going when it looks even a little bit busy. You will wait an hour foraverage food. Read more
This place is aesthetically pleasing. No gluten free bun options. The fries are over salted and tasted ?old?. The burger that I... had a few bites on was delicious and the root beer was creamy. I?ll have to stick to Culver?s for their prices and gluten freebuns. Read more
Went to the westside store Portillo's for the first time. Food was great and the staff friendly. The decor is different and felt... more authentic than the Eastside one. Time from ordering to receiving the food might be slow for most people but we don't mind.It gives you some time to talk and take a break. Read more
