Staying in Maggie Valley for the weekend and needed some grocery items but didn't want to make that 20 minute trip back to... Waynesville if we could avoid it. Called them 2 days in a row looking for the items we need and talked to such a nice, helpfullady. Sent hubby to get things but he couldn't find something so I called again and the man found hubby and personally made surehe found what we needed. Great service, very friendly. Incredible prices, incredible food! This is one of the best local eateries in Maggie Valley in terms of quality of food and... value. I loved the Ruben and personally recommend the onion rings over the fries. If you need some breakfast or lunch, don'thesitate! I walk my puppy 3 miles to Teagues and 3 miles back when I want a long walk. I spent about 20 dollars just on snacks and went... outside to the tables. I was eating my snacks that I bought from there and giving my puppy some water. By the way my pup is anemotional support animal and is all Love. We were not bothering anybody at anything when one of the clerks Came out and said weneeded to leave immediately and thats the only warning I get. I was taken aback but, taking a deep breath I calmy and politelyasked if I had done something wrong. He said no I just don't want you sitting out here. Now I was dressed in jogging clothes butvery presentable and I reminded him I was eating the food that I purchases. He told me that doesn't matter and yet threatened meagain. Now there is a long bench in front of the store that I guess you could say the old timers sit all day long smokingcigarettes and spitting chewing tobacco and nobody says anything to them. I again politely asked to speak to the manager andasked him to please not threaten me again. He said he was the manager. So I asked for the owner he said he was that to. So Isaid if I haven't done anything wrong and I'm a laying customer who walked 3 miles to spend 20 dollars which he didn't have anissue taking my money but I'm not welcome to sit at a table and eat the very same things that I paid for. Then he told me toswim back to Mexico. Well I happen to be Italian but kind of racist rednecks do we have running the stores that so many of thetourist go to. Read more
