Great spot, great view, lots of atmosphere. Food was delicious including onion rings, meat pie fries gravy all excellent as was... the Reuben and fries followed by carrot cake. Server was polite friendly professional and fast. Only place we visited where themanager came for a pleasant chat with us and others. BTW, this was the Chef's first day and she nailed it. Stopped in and shared some potato skins, which were excellent, along with a Ceasar salad, which was mediocre. Love the vibe... here, love the views too. Staff were honest about wait times for food, as they were short handed the day we went. They were allworking very hard to take care of the patrons. Read more
Loved it so much, we changed our trip plans just to return a second time. The owners are super nice and the food is absolutely... fantastic. Probably the best chicken wings I have ever had in my life. And after travelling all over Nova Scotia for 12 days,both my wife and I agree that Mohone Bay (and the Mug & Anchor) was our favourite place to visit. Read more
Lovely setting, inside or out. We sat on the patio, under an umbrella so out of the sun. Patio view was lovely. Comfortable... chairs. Good service and helpful with patient answers to "where's the best ice cream?"questions. The FOOD is wonderful. Panfried scallops cooked to perfection. Really nice thick, tender fries. A lovely rich dressing on the Caesar Salad and the mealsize is great to share. No gluten free desserts but that gave us an excuse for ice cream. We will definitely be back. Read more
Excellent service and great food as always! We come here quite often and have never been disappointed. Their gluten-free options... are always great. A nice pup atmosphere. We started with our usual mussel entree with a couple drinks. I had the Mug steak piewhich is always tasty and she had the Jack burger and salad. Again, we are never disappointed! ???? Read more

I stumbled upon this restaurant after the one I wanted to visit was closed for the season. I had fish and chips and a mug of... tea. Overall, I was so impressed with the fish and chips!! The batter was crispy and the fish flaked perfectly. The fries werecrispy and delicious. The coleslaw, wish I had a bucket. Staff are friendly and so efficient. Read more
