I?ve never been so embarrassed at a restaurant in my entire life. I came with a party of 15, for the first time since the switch... from JP Cunningham?s. We all had been coming to the restaurant since it was called Flannigans many years ago. We were allexcited to reunite at the one place we had shared so many great times throughout the years. Fast forward to our actualexperience... The staff was EXTREMELY rude and the service was absolutely abysmal. It really is a shame, as the location isstill great! Food was ok, not good, but not bad. Parking was difficult, mostly street parking. The place was busy. We went with friends (6... all together) on a Saturday at 630pm. We didn't have reservations. So we ordered a drink at the bar and waited for a table bythe water to free up. After waiting almost 2 hours, we decided to eat inside under the "tent". Unfortunately, the evening bugsjoined us. Service was good. Menus were dirty. They do have a nice selection of beer. Do not go, unless you have a reservationby the water/lake. Read more
I'd like to update my previous review. Based on the positive response to my review, I'm willing to accept the management's... apology and "rack it up" to a misunderstanding by the hostess. As I previously stated, the food and the table service wereexcellent. I'll be back to enjoy the food and the view of Lake Mahopac. Read more
I was very satisfied with both the food and the service. I would have given this restaurant an additional star except for one... thing... management policy. My girlfriend and I arrived at approximately 12:30PM for lunch outdoors. The seating area was lessthan half full. When we chose a table for 4 in the shade, the hostess informed us that since we were just 2 we would have to sitat a table near the railing in the sun. The management was concerned that a group of 4 might have to wait. Really? There werenumerous tables for 4 empty and additional ones became available as diners finished their meals. This is an ongoing issue in theMahopac area. Waiting and planning for diners that never arrive. The management is setting the hostess up for failure with thispolicy. To the management: I told the hostess that if forced to sit in the sun at a location unacceptable to me - I WIll TAKE MYBUSINESS ELSEWHERE AND NEVER RETURN. If your outdoor deck wasn't full at lunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, you need memore than I need you. Wake up and smell the coffee. Read more
Not impressed. Nice beer selection but the food was just okay and the table service was marginal at best. Try lighting some of... the citronella candles that are around the deck too, that will make it nicer to sit out there. Read more
