I couldn?t be happier when I discovered that it was Japanese owned authentic restaurant!! They always have the freshest Fish... there. Yoshi San makes the best Sushi, I mean 100times better than those over priced sushi in the city. Also the izakaya styleappetizers and Soba is just authentic and reminds me of home. It?s a small family owned restaurant and get very crowded onweekends, expect for long wait or I would recommend to just go there during the week. Read more

A tad more than I'm used to spending when I dine out but I tend to be frugal. I'm sure the quality ingredients they use cost a... lot so I understand the price. You can taste the freshness and quality products that go into each recipe. My familyhad: Edamame - great but hard to mess up edamame anyway lol Japanese fried chicken - SURPRISINGLY amazing. So juicy that theyare dripping wet on the inside but super crispy outside, it was fantastic Shrimp Shumai - only thing I didn't like. A littleundercooked I think Philly Roll - Perfect Katsu Rice bowl with Kim chi - My niece said "I want to eat here every time we come toMahopac" after trying it. Panko fried chicken - Standard Tempura chicken, it was good Shoyu Ramen - Fantastic, so many goodflavors. Really impressed by the food. It took an abnormally long time to clear a table for us to sit but once we did the foodcame quickly. Great beer and Sake selection as well as soft drinks. My mother had a glass bottle coke, always a treat. I had ajapanese wheat beer which I didn't even know existed. Niece had a Ramune with the glass bead. Overall great time, will return. Read more

I never got a chance to write a review for this place though I've been coming since 2019. The owner (George) makes a regular... attempt to get to know every customer down to their names and birthdays and honestly where will you get that type of treatmentanywhere else. The food is great and I find myself coming back regularly half just to have a nice conversation with him again, and to get the same order of ramen I've been getting for years. Highly recommend anybody who is a ramen fan. Read more

This is a very good restaurant. The sushi was delicious. The hot menu items were authentically prepared, and inviting. It is... family-run, not 'fast food,' and certainly worth the short wait. The prices are also quite reasonable, and the service was warm. There is not a better Japanese restaurant within an hour's drive, at least. Read more

Absolutely the best ramen in the area!! Giving this place 4 stars only because their service is pretty slow. It?s crazy how long... they have people waiting and how many people leave due to the wait time. If they can sort out their internal operations and makethe service faster, this place would be 5 stars. Expect to wait 30-45 mins just for your appetizers. Read more

I?ve been scouring the earth for a good ramen place near where I live. I have finally found it. The food is incredibly fresh and... the ramen was out of this world. If you like ramen (and Japanese food) and haven?t tried this place out yet, you?re doingyourself a disservice! The only caveat is that it?s a smaller place so seating can fill up quick. Read more

My partner and I had a great experience here. The waiter was nice and friendly. The IPA and plum wine were delicious. The food... was great, too. Partner ordered three rolls, and I ordered the katsu-don which was cooked well and tender. Will definitely comeback here again. Read more
