Reviews for The Wild Bean in St Paul, MN
I came in from the cold on the first snowy day, in October, and was looking for hot ???? soup or chili....they don't do that... currently, but they had very fresh baked goods, and the foam on my mocha bespoke a pride in craft not all coffee shopsuphold. The staff was helpful and efficient and nice to me, that and their gifty wall made me want to come back when I have moretime to relax and enjoy a beverage there! Adorable and homey spot that vibes a bit of Cape Cod, but is definitely Minnesota. Read more
Edit: I can say I have changed my previous 2-star rating after ownership changes. Maddie has really poured time, money, and... effort into revamping this place. Only knocked off one star for quality of coffee. Wishing it was better, but it?s not awful.:) ???? 2 stars: Location and community Why not 5 stars: A few years back it would've been 5 stars, but since new ownershipover the last two years, it has slowly gone downhill. The biggest complaint would be paying $35 for four sandwiches, only tofind the ciabatta is completely soggy on half and brick hard on the other half... literally inedible. I've talked to the ownerand employees *multiple* times about this for years and there has been no resolve. This occurs about 80% of the orders. As muchas I love the local place, another concern is cleanliness. With the same gloves, the barista took orders on the register, madecoffee, made sandwiches with meat, opened the freezer to get the soggy/hard bread, used the microwave, dug their hand into thechip bag, got a bakery item out of the case, and fixed their hair. Upon leaving, the same gloves were still on. This completelybreaks my heart to leave this review because I want to see this place succeed, but management has got to step it up and takeinitiative. If things change, I'll update the review. Read more
Absolutely amazing new ownership! Staff is super friendly and quick, they redid the patio as well as the inside and they?re both... gorgeous, there are new delicious and creative drinks and it?s such a relaxing, small-town, welcoming space! A hidden gem that?scharming because it?s so different from many of the coffeeshops in the cities. Read more

My kids and I really love this coffee shop. They go for the mango smoothies and the loud questions about other customers. I love... it for the easy walk and the delicious coffee. The staff is always friendly and brightens your day. They have plenty of regularswho must feel the same way. It feels good to support a local business, to show your kids it?s important to do. I?m impressed by the owner who?s doing something big at a young age. We?ll definitely be back! Read more
Cute little place but the staff was not good. They forgot 3 things, we had to go up and remind them, so we waited 20 minutes for... a smoothie and a regular coffee. Read more
