This place keeps getting better. I just heard a server say they get charged $0.50 for each crayon a kid breaks. That’s insane!... I hope this changes or they switch to colored pencils. The waitress was amazing and handled a group of kids (who were all awfulif not possessed) perfectly calm and professionally. I gave 4 stars as I feel bad for the owner after reading all these negative reviews here. I got take out my driver waited 5... minutes before anyone approached him. He said the desert was okay it was apple crisp. The pizza was way over priced not worth itbut the salad was good with the blackened chicken. They forgot to give the oil and vinegar dressing. I almost left 3 stars asthe driver arrived on time but the owner’s constantly on the defense with reviewers. I was here a few years ago and we walkedout I can’t remember why. But the management charged us when we left without eating. It was like $20 for the milkshake but itwasn’t available to go so we left with nothing despite paying. I was in Mahwah NJ for business, and happen to be staying right next to the Mason Jar. I was hoping they had pizza, because I... always eat pizza when I'm in the promise land of the great garden state. I was happily surprised to see that they not only hadpizza but they have cauliflower crust pizza! By far the best cauliflower pizza I've had. Came here Sunday 7/3 because our usually go to place was closed for the holiday weekend. We have never been before but we were... pleasantly surprised. Our server was so friendly and, I can't believe I'm admitting this but we ordered the same items weusually get at our other restaurant - and it was better tasting here! Also got a martini which was reasonably priced. The onlything is I didn't love the inside decor which is just my personal preference. It didn't feel homey. But we will definitelyreturn despite that! You read reviews, you look for the most popular places to eat at. I took my wife and 3 sons this evening, and we ALL left happy,... full and beyond pleased. The service from Samantha was just awesome, she was quick, polite, and all smiles. Now the food as youcan see was amazing, the beer on tap tasted good not skunky or bad. The atmosphere, the vibe, the smell was great. Now I can’tattest to any of their bbq food or ribs but I can tell you I would 100000000% return to try. And if I could give more then 5??‘s I would. Parking lot seemed full but we were sat immediately. We ordered the Bavarian pretzels as an appetizer. They came out and were... steaming as we broke them open. Tasted great. For our dinners we both ordered Reuben, my husband got the corn beef and I got theturkey, Also a side of Cole slaw. Everything was great!! For dessert we went with other reviews and got the mason jar blueberrycheesecake. It did not disappoint. I'm not even a big fan of cheesecake, yet enjoyed it. Mason Jar is a solid go-to restaurant for BBQ. We've eaten here maybe 3-4 times already and are always pleased with our meal. We... have tried the burnt ends (nice and crispy), pulled pork(good), brisket (hit or miss, sometimes very fatty, sometimes lean),Kansas City ribs (so tender, so good), and Memphis ribs (also awesome).
