We tired the Feed Store when it first opened and thought it was pretty good, but that?s it. We had not had it again since until... last week and let me tell ya, they got it dialed in. Now that I actually paid attention to their schedule we finally got a chance to try them! The pulled pork was awesome - sampled... their vinegar based sauce, as well as the sweet. Both were tasty - honestly the smoked pork was amazing on its own. The potatosalad was like nothing I've had before - still trying to dissect what the ingredients are - I'm pretty sure I need a pound of itnext time! The beans - not traditional baked beans - but so good. Spicy, smoky - more, please. My wife is a mac and cheeseconnoisseur - first bite: "do they have a larger container of this?" ???? My only complaint? We got our wires crossed - Iwanted the larger container of banana pudding, and I got the smaller serving. Dang it! ???? They have a nice selection of beerand wine for sale to take out - I did not look at what was available for dine in, sorry So - need a dine in or take out optionfor Thursday through Sunday (shorter hours Sunday)? Been trying different local restaurants for lunch on our return trip from the shore, and this one by far was best we have found... in years. The food was fantastic and the people were friendly. Well worth a trip a few miles off the interstate! Read more
We drove an hour away to The Barbecue Exchange because that place was supposedly on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. It was okay. ... This weekend we found The Feed Store was only 15 minutes from our house, and MUCH better. I cant believe I've never heard ofthis place. Fair prices for a barbecue joint, also. The food was amazing. My daughter went to town on her ribs and chicken. My wife loved her meal. I loved the rub on the ribs and the brisket. A++ you guys do everything right. Even like the littlebuilding. Only 10 minutes from Short Pump!!! Oh my lord. I didn't even make it out of the restaurant before I had to try a rib. I... sampled literally everything onnthe menu except the pulled pork. All of it was great. I LOVE vinegar based ribs, and the ribswere so tangy with an amazing dry rub. The meat falls right off the bone. The half chicken was smoked so perfectly. Theirsausages were great. The brisket was so juicy and tender. They even have some craft beers and canned mixed cocktails for youthere. I loved everything about this place. Took a little trip to sample the offerings and I enjoyed talking to the Cashier / Owner. She was friendly and her husband /... Owner worked in the kitchen but seemed pretty friendly too. The brisket burger was awesome and the pickles, dill potato saladand beans were good too. I will return again and again until I try most of the menu. I just removed the bun because of mygluten sensitivity. Take your own bun if bread is important to your gluten free diet. You won't be sorry unless you don't trythe food. :-) Read more

The Feed Store is a gem. The food was fantastic. Great service and atmosphere. This is a top tier bbq spot in the Richmond area.... Worth the short drive from surrounding areas. We look forward to trying some of the menu items that were sold out. Read more
