If you ask yourself the question, how are they still in business!? Please understand the environment you werewalking into, this restaurant abuse is the American “privilege of privacy” as a whole our company will not do business withthem, considering they are selling out people for their own benefit. The food was lovely but the best part of my dining experience was how attentive my server Nico was. Nico was fabulous and gave... wonderful recommendations along with delightful parings. Overall, Gravina is overpriced for the quality of the food. The bread served before the meal was plain white bread with oil and... vinegar. The Caesar salad was slightly wilted with shaved Parmesan and tiny croutons. The pappardelle with wild boar’s meatwas good, but had a lot of meat compared to sauce. Service was good and attentive. Disappointing and over priced. My husband and I ordered their take out and got their Margherita and Prosciutto pizza as well as... their dessert for the day which I think was an attempt at blueberry cheese cake. But I honestly could not tell what kind ofdessert this was - the texture was somewhere between French toast and cheese cake and there was little flavor. Im not sure whatthey were going for. As for the pizza, the Margherita pizza was hardly that. It was a cheese pizza with 5 basil leaves in themiddle. There was no fresh Mozzarella or chunks of mozzarella and basil scattered throughout - it was just cheese pizza with 5basil leaves. As for the Prosciutto, it was a cheese pizza with prosciutto just laid on top. It looked as there was little to noeffort to actually incorporated the prosciutto in the pizza - it was lazy and a salty mess. I would pay maybe $10 for thispizza. This pizza is not worth $20-$27 nor was the dessert worth $15. A waste of money. Read more
A refreshing experience…. The food was well balanced and the service was excellent! I felt very welcomed and taken care of!... They were very accommodating and even had the chef make a off menu Carbonara Pasta for me, on the house!!! Lovely experiencewith lovely people whom were very informative with any questions I asked! Came here for our 5 year anniversary/birthday dinner and WOW! We will be stopping by every time we are in Malibu. Fantastic... service and the food was delicious and savory! Everything from the Wine, Appetizer, Entree to Dessert was tasteful. Iwouldn’t take this restaurant off the table based on a bad review. Definitely go for your own experience. Fantastic food and service. Truly an Italian restaurant as the waiters spoke in Italian and listening to them added to the... ambiance as well as lulled you into the meal, much like listening to the ocean. The food was spectacular. Every bite was such apleasure. Beautiful experience all around and I would drive back to Malibu (I'm in another state) to dine here again. Read more
