I’ve been to different Marmalade Cafe locations & at this one I got the hazelnut latte, extra shot espresso with almond milk.... It was still delicious but a tad too sweet for me, perfect temperature. Customer service is great & it’s a nice breakfastspot with a lot of little shops around. I’ve had their food before and they’re usually on point, I’d recommend stopping byhere before a day of beach’ing. ***update*** I tried their chicken tortilla soup, calamari & a salmon salad. The cup oftortilla soup was pretty good, good pieces of chicken and a great flavor. The calamari was ok, a bit overcooked but the sauceswas on point. Food was great! Staff friendly! Food was great! The menu has so many interesting choices, might need to come back a few times to... go through the list. 7/24/2022: Malibu location for breakfast. The GOOD: the food saved this review. Namely the egg, mushroom frittata with fresh... sourdough for toast was a homer; rate it 10/10. The salmon eggs Benedict was also good but was cold, rates 7/10. The BAD: theservice. While no one was rude, it’s as if no one is in charge. Started ok with taking the order and then went down hill. 5different people had to be flagged down for various things because when something was dropped off at the table the staffcareened over to another table to drop something else off. Things I had to motion staff over for included: thanks for the coffeebut need a spoon to mix things with. Cream, wasn’t given any even though it was ordered. Bring more cream because the thimblesized container is only enough for one and there are more of us. Water, straws, coffee refills, jam, to go box. Marmalade Cafe offers good size portions. Today, we had the classic eggs benedict and the breakfast tacos. Each came with 3... portions and a side. The eggs benedict had good flavor and the poached eggs were done into perfection. Good portions of ham, butmaybe could have used a slight bit more of the hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were cold, a bit dry and lacked flavor. Thebreakfast tacos have a plentiful amount of eggs and breakfast fixings. The wife couldn't eat near all of it, but she said it wasgood. The coffee we had was a bit bitter, but they did offer us flavor syrup for it and had half and half to go with it aswell. Overall, I would go back and try something else. Grabbed breakfast on a busy Sunday. There was a car meet so the lot was packed. Other than that the hostess was nice but the... service was subpar (Yes, even for to go orders). Waited about 10 mins before anyone said hello or acknowledged us. Overall thefood was tasty and I was happy they had healthier options available. First time trying out due to lots of good reviews on Yelp. Ordered Lobster Benedict with fresh fruit as side. The flavor of the... Lobster and Benedict were very delicious. The poached eggs are nicely done. The cheeseburger is pretty yummy too. However theservice is only OK. Our server disappeared after we had our food served. No one came to ask us how the good went. We also waiteda long time to get a check after we finished our meals since the check needed to be present by our service.
