The place had one server/bartender and Addie was doing a great job managing the front of the house. The food took a bit but... given it was appropriately 50-65% full, it's totally understandable. The burgers, chicken tenders and chicken sandwich weregreat. The fries and onion rings were very good. The service was really good considering the number of people and Addie wassuper friendly. I was a tad nervous and unsure what to expect, seeing how Gastropubs are hybrid pubs and restaurants, notable for serving... high-quality food! They have built a reputation of cutting-edge bars and superlative food venues, so I was expecting the best ofthe best! Remington's did not disappoint, absolutely delicious food with a great atmosphere, attentive staff and fantasticservices. I told a few friends who live near Dekalb and Sycamore about this place and like me, they never heard of it. So withmy highest recommendation, I'm encouraging all to swing by and visit if you're anywhere near Malta! Lastly, why not 5 stars?Well I just felt claustrophobic while eating, it just wasn't enough room for me, but ironically I wouldn't change a thing. 7/18/21 update: Had the spicy cauliflower bites - SO GOOD! Kobe has given great service again, come see him on... Sundays Excellent pour and service. Sadly I've forgotten our bartenders name (Kobe) but he was very funny and wants to be ahistory teacher! Several Excellent appetizers to choose from, we had the curds and they were perfect, not heavy and oily. Verytasty. Try the meatballs too. I had the turkey club wrap, also excellent. My better half had the shrimp tacos, he said they'reexcellent also and we would both enjoy those dishes again. Fine little gem. Look forward to returning! Read more
Food never disappoints here! Nice beer options from all over the world but not a lot on tap. Kitchen hours are cut too short.
Great little place to meet up with family or friends in Malta. Small town pub at it's finest. Great selection of beer, the menu... was not overwhelming so that's always nice. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because all of the bar stools hadholes in them and they were taped up with black tape and the floors were so sticky I had to take my shoes off the minute I gotin the car. Their food menu deserves 500 stars! Above and beyond good food & service in contrast to their counter places i have visited.
