Food and service were fantastic, great place for a special dinner, wife loved her soup

The two stars are for the food. Would give 0 for service. Our server was rude, condescending and seemed to ridiculing us behind... our backs, to the other staff. He appeared to be friendly enough with the other white patrons, though. We were there tocelebrate a special occasion, but the service overpowered the food and left a bad taste in our mouth. Shame. We have been to the convict lake restaurant many times and we absolutely love it. Although the most recent visit was not very... good. I had the Halibut which was very dry and tasteless and my husband had the Duck which had almost a bitter sauce. It wouldbe much better with a sweeter sauce. Chef needs to learn how to please his patrons and give up the arrogance. Read more

Been camping here for past 30 years. 1st time trying this restaurant. OMG!! We have been missing out. Such excellent food and... amazing service. Dress is casual but we dress up being it was our 30th anniversary. We are definitely planning on making this a"must do" everytime we camp here. I had the rack of lamb. Read more

Our dinner at restaurant was absolutely amazing. I was surprised to find such fine dinning at a cabin resort. The restaurant is... reservation only which you can reserve on OpenTable. It fills up quick so keep that in mind. The staff was incredibly welcoming.Our server was Ryan and he took great care of us. We had the Filet and the Steak Frites. The ribeye for the steak frites wascooked perfectly. The filet was great. I’m pretty sure I cleaned all of the sauce of the plate. We had the Crème brûlée fordessert and it was excellent. My husband and I had dinner to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary! The food and service was fantastic. What was really nice... is they didn't rush us at all. We really were able to enjoy our night. Read more

Great night at the Resort. 30 year anniversary. We had the house soup (carrot and parsnips), prime rib/shrimp, Beef Wellington... and the apple carmel ice cream. So much goodness. Out server was awesome, bread was delicious. Will go again in a heart beat. Read more

Definitely worth the drive from Mammoth if you have time an evening, the food quality is excellent with a really sweet and... attentive service. We did not get it this time but every table around us ordered the dramatic bananas foster with the usualflame show. Will be back! Read more
