Went in July, not during ski season. So it was much quieter than it would be in winter. Friendly, fast service. Food was good,... but a bit on the expensive side (it's at the base of a ski resort, so not unexpected). Known for their giant pretzel, which wasis, in fact very large. It is yummy and filling and is enough of an appetizer for at least 4 people. They do have a kids menu, but you have to ask. Read more

The food was fresh, well prepared and tasty. It was busy, but our server, Jessica, was amazing!! She was very friendly and went... above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed, despite having a busy section. Her suggestions were perfect! Wewill come back and request Jessica! We definitely enjoyed our break from mountain biking with a cold beer and some food from the Yodler. I love how they have... imported German beers which I can't help but get when on draft. They come in steins which is always a plus. I got the bratwurstwhich was pretty good, only issue I had was how expensive the price was. But when you are at a mountain resort itsexpected. There is ample outside seating and the indoor section is decorated as if you were in the Alps. I am looking forwardto coming back here in the winter and giving it another shot. Read more

Let me begin with the chicken schnitzel sandwich, basically perfect. We got one for the road. The staff was very friendly and... responsive, food/drinks came out quickly. I also got the Bavarian chili - a table next to us asked what it was, then proceededto order it. Love this place after a long day! It?s slightly less busy because it?s just outside the base as well which wasreally nice. Read more

Old world look and feel. German infused menu. This restaurant has a big sunny deck, nice interior with ambience and wood... carvings all around. You can sit by the fire in a recessed comfortable table. It is in very close walking distance to thegondola. The prices considering you are at a ski resort are not bad at all. I think a burger and fries is $17. The same asanywhere else, and it is seriously good. There is real german beer like Ayinger Brauweisse (or Hefeweizen beer) and a couple ofother German beers, and of course American selections. You can even get a number of healthy salads here. Service was verygood. I would try the stroganoff. It has an excellent sauce that is unique. It is not switzerland but as close as you can getin California. And right next to the lifts! Read more
