Originally, I thought I was going to have a poor experience because I made a reservation and when we walked in, we were barely... greeted and the waiter just pointed to our table. In addition, a pair of men walked in after us and were greeted and waited onright away before we were even asked what we wanted to drink. I believe the waiter should take orders in the order the customerarrives. Fair is fair. After they gave us our drinks, the service did improve and they did check on us regularly. It was myMother’s birthday and I wanted to make sure she had a nice time. The lemonade tasted like Minute Maid and the salad dressing(lemon vinaigrette) tasted more of oil than anything else. My recommendation would be to get the soup, I overheard another tablesaying the soup was great. The plantain chips were not freshly made, although the dip was tasty. I wasn’t a fan. However, theentrees made up for everything else. It was all delicious. The waiter did also take a photo for us after I paid and tipped. Ispent $75 for a party of 3 before tipping–can’t complain. Had the Pernil. A mountain of pork, two sides, salad(recommend the mango dressing), for $20. Also highly recommend the... mussels. Everyone I was with had something different and really liked it. I was driving back from Atlantic City and wasn’t in the mood for any of the fast foods that are offered off the garden state... parkway, thankfully stumbled upon this family owned business and everything we had was delicious. I didn’t take pictures ofthe entrees unfortunately but these two appetizers were such a great start to lunch that I had to share the love. Not too faroff the highway and very well worth the pit stop. Had to check this place out after some friends made a post and the food looked amazing!!! When we get there some other friends... are there and it was just a great sign. The initial greeting was from a young lady who was pleasant and told us to sit whereverwe wanted. She handed us some menus and two of the four menus were lunch menus….. which we learned after we had alreadydecided on our meal and then told they were not available for dinner. Bummer but we quickly made other choices. There was onlyone waitress for the entire dinner service which was not a big deal for us as we understand that these are tough times regardingstaff shortages but the two other young women could have been more helpful. If you have a full restaurant you should have timeto sit, have something to drink from your water bottle and scroll thru your cell phone. That is the only thing that trulyannoyed me as the waitress was doing everything on her own. She was a star ?? Now let’s get to the food…..AMAZING!!!! Appetizers were tostones with ropa vieja and absolutely nothing disappointing. The meat was tender, well seasonedand melted in your mouth. The second appetizer was chorizo and octopus…. It was good but lacked acid and the octopus was a bitbland. Entrees were beer braised short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes……. OMG!!! Best short ribs I have ever eatenanywhere. Fall off the bone, tender and just delicious. My husband had the steak with vegetables and he was moaning and groaningas he ate. Steak was perfectly medium rare and just perfect. My son had the pernil and he had the nerve to say that it was maybebetter than mine ???? The portions are huge and each entree comes with a soup or salad that are just as flavorful. Only thingthis place needs is a staff that is a bit more efficient other than that bravo to the chef because this place has something foreveryone. Definitely will be back again. Read more

Excellent Lunch Dining Experience! We had the Jibarito sandwich & the Beef Empanadas. Both items are out of this world, the... Jibarito sandwich is mouth watering with all the fantastic flavors you want from a purely Spanish dish, it was an experienceitself. The Beef Empanadas are fried to a soft delectable crust filled with beef and potato filling with variousspices. Overall highly recommend this fine dining establishment five stars! Read more

Cute little eat in place in a strip mall. The food was good. They have gluten-free and dairy free options. The Caribbean salad... and veggie tacos on corn tortilla. The brought out fried plantains with a Chipotle dip that was yummy. The yucca fries werefresh cut and not greasy. They had it decorated pretty simple and I like the thay had art on the walls for sale, cute addedtouch. Read more
