The food was very good. Portions will be an issue for individuals with a big appitite. Take a look at the pictures get an idea... of the atmosphere. They do have a lot of outdoor seating that was not available when we were there. Service was pretty good Alittle spotty at some points. Pricing was what you would expect around 30 to 40 dollars a plate. What surprised me was that theydo not serve how hard alcohol only beer and wine. Read more
This was hands down the best meal I've had out here since I've been out in VA. The vibes were amazing, atmosphere was great,... this place was beautiful! We started off with the Bruschetta which was absolutely perfect! I'm from NY and it tasted just likehome! My mom got the Chicken Piccatta which was delicious (I tried it). I got the Lobster Ravioli served in a vodka sauceanother delicious dish! For dessert we got the Dark chocolate mousse and the Tartufo both were soo good! I also got a cappuccinoI needed some coffee after all that food! They had a very adorable outside seating area with twinkle lights that made greatatmosphere and scenery! They have a cute little farm in the back. The attention to detail throughout the entire restaurant wasbeautiful. The staff was very friendly and attentive! Our waitress Madeline was wonderful! No picture could do this place justice. I was born in 1955, this place made me feel peace and comfort in the driveway, then the... garden and plants were so beautiful. The outdoor seating was amazing in design. The inside historic house with seating for lunchis so beautiful. I was with my favorite oldest grandson and couldn't decide where I wanted to sit, so he chose inside. I had thefrench dip, oh my so amazing. I live 1 hour and 10 minutes away, I will be back....... A beautiful farm. You will need to make a reservation before you go during a weekend. Or at least plan your second dining... option. They have very limited dining schedule. They will probably won't seat you in even the restaurant is half empty. I guessit's because it's less than 1.5 hours for you to dine. Or maybe they knew you won't find your favorite foods on the menu becauseof the food scarcity. They perhaps don't want you to be disappointed. Their foods may be good. Their staff is always busy. Perfect place to be on a gorgeous weather day. Lots of outdoor seating, but this place was hopping, so there was a short line. I... met up with my group that had reserved a room. Luckily we had a view of the beautiful garden area. We were highly entertainingby the black duck that was playing and snoozing by one of the ponds. Love trying new and unique places to dine; cave across Lola's, so went for Sunday brunch. Located in the midst of the beautiful... Autumn setting; visually this farmhouse is lovely and perfect to sit and enjoy nature's outdoor beauty, weatherpermitting. Once inside; initially we didn't get the welcome feeling we were expecting from our 1st point of contact, thehostess. She was very dry with no personality and not particularly friendly. My friend and I both felt as though she was staringat us all if we walked into the wrong place. Furthermore we called ahead to make a reservation and was told by that exact samehostess (pink sweater, black pants) there was no need because of plenty of space, meanwhile we arrived and had to wait like 20mins for a table while others walked in with reservations...smh. Plus the owner walked past us several times and never even saidhello or welcome ????. Fortunately we had Bella as a server; she was very pleasant and always had a smile on her face, soessentially she helped our experience and finally the food and salvaged it all!! My shrimp & grits was very flavorful and Iloved the huge, tender Gulf shrimp ???????? and washed it down with their yummy Sangria ????. My friend had their biscuitsw/sausage gravy, I tasted and I did enjoy the homemade flavor of the gravy and the soft biscuits!!
