Flavor and taste was beyond expectations I'd have to say the only growth to note is maybe they could change fryers grease more... often as someone skilled in a kitchen you could taste the end of life of the oil. Okra was amazing! Hushpuppies were perfect andmoist while having the needed crunch on the outer layer. Spices were top notch and I felt the care taken to cook the food. I came on Columbus Day around 3 PM. I ordered an oyster Poboy combo with hush puppies. It was delicious. The restaurant was... clean and neat. The service was excellent. The sandwich was well prepared. There were many choices in terms of sauce andcondiments as well as how the sandwich was prepared. I came here in a whim after seeing an advertisement on my FB mentioning, "Buy 1 Get 1 Free," Po'Boys. On arrival, I was... pleasantly pleased with the cleanliness and aesthetics of the store. Being my first time, I didn't know what to get so I wasassisted by the manager, Tanya, who was nothing but professional throughout the entire dine-experience. I ultimately opted forthe shrimp, mahimahi, & crab poboys with a side of fries and hush puppies with spicy sauce. What did I think? It was great. Theingredients were definitely fresh with a full green leaf of romaine lettuce and bright red tomatoes to the fresh seafood thatwas fried thoroughly through. The hushpuppies had the hint of sweetness you want but not overly sweet. Tanya and her staffwere quite inundated while we were there but I was very impressed with the fact that Tanya checked on each dine-in party whilstjuggling phone calls and QCing her staff: she was great. Advice to those who decide to try this place out: 1. Get the spicysauce.. it's not that spicy (subjective I know) but it's really flavorful. 2. I found out after the fact from, Tanya, that wecan get the buns buttered and toasted on the griddle if we request it...I deeply regret not having asked as that would haveexponentially enhanced the already fantastic experience. There are three reasons I?m writing this review. The first is that I ordered the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich and was it... ever so delicious despite the fact that the coleslaw was missing. The second reason was the cleanliness of the store. It wasreally clean and tidy which was impressive. The third and the best reason was the customer service. They close at 9 and I walkedin at 8:55. I expect to be turned away but instead I was given one of the best welcomes I?ve ever received. I?ve worked in thefood industry so I know folks are counting down the seconds to get home or move on with their lives. The gentleman that helpedme had a Green Lantern tattoo and kept asking me if I wanted things like drinks or anything else. He told me that he waits forand expects people to come in last minute and it?s no reason to treat them any different than the first person of the day. We were so happy to see a Skrimp Shack pop up near us! The facility is beautiful and looks brand new! We were the first... customers at 11AM and Larry greeted us with such excitement! He was friendly, personal, and so funny! He even surprised with abanana pudding to go. We always go with the family pack! It?s myself and my husband and we usually have some food to go. After the Sam's Southern Eatery in Manassas shut down I decided to give this place a try, as the menu was very similar. I... ordered the dinner sized "Big Cat Basket", "Mac N' Cheese", and "Add 4 Skrimp". The dinner portion is 3/4 LB Fried Fish, and isjust the right size for a full stomach. The food took a long time to arrive by DoorDash, but it was worth it... (ordered at7:34pm, didnt get in my hands until 9:01pm) The catfish was cut into small strips, which was new to me - Usually when I getcatfish it's 2-3 big thick and long pieces. The breading on the catfish didn't pair well with the drinks.. For some reason ithad a bitter after-taste. I tried to pair the meal with both Mtn Dew and Pepsi - both produced the same bitter taste. The shrimpwas quite large, and decently breaded, thought I would have liked to have seen a thicker breading on it. The kind of breadingthey used on the shrimp basically just fell away like paper as soon as you picked them up. The Mac & Cheese was great - the onlyplace I've had better was Panera. The cheese was in great supply, and was a nice creamy and vibrant texture and taste. The onlynegative parts of this experience for me was the wait time (DoorDash at fault, not this place), the bitter after-taste on thebreading, and that I got no utensils or napkins with my meal.
