I had heard good things about this chain, but was sorely disappointed. It's bland dry and incredibly inauthentic. None of the... flavors that should have been there are. I'm particularly disappointed because I asked about the authenticity before I ordered,and felt I was misled by the workers. NIGHTMARE experience. This was my first visit and it was an unmitigated disaster on all fronts. Despite an empty restaurant when... we started, it took over 15 minutes to receive our basic orders with no apologies. It took so long primarily because theyinexplicably had almost no proteins cooked ahead of time and 2/3 staff members provided exceptionally bad service. Jocelyn wasexcellent and she was the only one to communicate or try to assist throughout the night. Worst of all, they refused to honor our$25 gift card because it was virtual (given by my workplace) and not a print card. The manager on duty would not make any effortto scan the bar code. The whole visit was profoundly disturbing and left us feeling we were stuck in a deranged comedy sketch. Iwill not stop calling management until this issue is rectified. The only positives were Jocelyn?s helpful and hardworkingattitude and the fact that the food?cold by the time we got it and mine was missing key ingredients?was adequate. Read more

Past several orders have not been the best. Tried the new savory herb sirloin this time, me personally, I did not like it and... seemed to be over cooked. I will be sticking to the gyro or beef next time. One pain point that this particular Halal guyscannot get right is the extra sauce (hot sauce) being provided. They charge $1.98 listed on Door dash for extra and for somereason it never makes it into my order. I am minus $7 on extra sauce that has not been provided. I have been to the Halal Guys in Fairfax and Tysons and am so glad they opened one closer to home! The food is absolutely... delicious! First off, the reviews are right about the portion sizes. They are very generous and give you a ton! I love that asthe one in Tysons is very disappointing in the amount they give. You definitely get your money's worth here. Nice big locationwith outside seating. Customer service is great as well. Seems like they also do online ordering now. The white sauce is myfavorite part, get a ton of that drizzled all over. The red sauce is very spicy, be warned! I would suggest getting it on theside for first timers. Read more
Got the limited edition eggplant and hummus. The eggplant was not totally mixed in with the chickpeas, there were chunks of... eggplant. And they serve it with pita chips instead of a pita bread. That does not impress me. Pita chips are extremely hard.Had some tried to eat a bite of baklava and the bottom was so tough I couldn't bite through it. Friend had beef hero, he said hewould prefer a traditional hero which is beef and lamb it tastes better. But he liked it. All in all I will not return. Got a chicken bowl. Service was decent. Regular bowl size was priced at $13. Tasted way better than Ashburn location.
