Currently waiting for food I ordered 25 min ago while the dinner rush is peaking. That?s understandable. What is not making... sense is that Tammy was outside doing God knows what while her younger less experienced helper was struggling to say the least.Beverage cooler was almost empty and the cashier was wearing headphones playing on his phone. First time there so I didn't know how to place an order. A customer showed me where it was. All the employees were super nice... and helpful! A tall guy behind the counter was super helpful and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. The cashier was also friendly and helpful! I was impressed!! Cigarette smokers crowd the only entrance to Wawa 5/2/22 9:48 am. I hate being forced to walk through a cloud of secondhand... cigarette smoke to gain entrance to a building. A panhandler was crouched only 3 feet away from the main entrance smoking also.There was no way to avoid the panhandler. He held his hand out but said nothing verbally. I had to pass close enough to him withmy child that he could have reached out and grabbed us. I asked "Colleen" at the cashier station if cigarette smokers wereallowed to smoke so close to the entrance. I told her I thought there was a Virginia law that required smokers to be at least20 feet from an entrance. Colleen claimed she "didn't know the statutes". Colleen radioed to "Carlos" and he asked thepanhandler not to smoke near the entrance but the guy didn't leave. Wawa has great products but the smokers and panhandlers atthe entrance detract from the experience. Read more

Staff is always friendly. Awesome food and especially milkshakes! Large parking lot if you need a rest traveling.
