We had the BEST dinner at The Silver Fork! Every dish and cocktail is a delicious art form. The aesthetic in the former... library building is both stunning and cozy at the same time. Special touches are all around. The staff makes you feel welcomeand are part of a wonderful experience. We spent over 3 hours dining and imbibing and it was a total delight! Highly highly recommend! We had a delicious meal Seated at the bar tonight at the silver fork which is located inside the old library. All of the food... was beautifully presented and delicious. We flew to Vermont just to check this place out and it did not disappoint. We got there early and had a couple drinks while we... waited for our table and the drinks were good. For a starter we had fried cheese balls (it had a different name) with anchoviedip and they were AMAZING. For dinner we had Wienerschnitzel and the Maryland crab cake and they were both delicious. Theschnitzel was as good if not better than any I had in my travels in Germany. For dessert we had the bread pudding and it washands down my favorite bread pudding ever. The place is in a converted library and it was cozy. The service was great and weeven got a special visit from Melody (the owner) and she was SO sweet. 10/10 would fly back just for that schnitzel. If you are visiting Manchester, make a reservation at the Silver Fork. The cheese souffle and fig appetizer was amazing, the two... flavors really enhanced each other. The creole mofongo was fantastic. The salmon strudel was good but not quite the tasteexplosion of the other dishes (though my husband preferred it). We couldn't settle on dessert so we got both the Caribbean breadpudding souffle which as excellent and the kanafeh which says it's for 2 but really big enough for 4 which was a new and exotictaste. We took home most of the kanafeh because we were so full. Also love the setting and decor of the restaurant. Read more
The Silver Fork is an incredible asset to Manchester, VT and Southern Vermont as a whole. The restaurant is housed in the... previous Public Library building and incorporates a number of library elements into the design as well as mid century moderndecor. The food is phenomenal! Highly recommend the bread pudding dessert, but be sure to order it in advance as it takes 30minutes to prepare. The service is equally phenomenal. Make a reservation today! Read more
