I'm from NYC, passing through Louisiana. Wow! The most delicious tortilla soup I ever had! Great service and lovely decoration.
We've been here quite a few times and the food is good. But we won't be going back due to the service. Tonight we ordered drinks... and I asked for a Dos Equis lager on draft, the lady came back and said they didn't have it, so I asked if they had it in abottle and she said yes. When she came back, it was with an open beer and she said they didn't have Dos Equis in a bottle, butthey had this, I told her nevermind and that I would just get a water. We ordered our food, it came out quick, everything wascorrect. While we were eating, the table next to us ordered a dos Equis lager on draft and their waitress brought them one. Thefood was good, but we finished it and sat there for 25 minutes before I had to find another waitress to close out our bill andget to go boxes. When our waitress dropped the bill, she stacked the dirty plates directly on top of some of the food we wereplanning to take home. On the bill, the ink was faded, but there were dollar amounts on the side that were a little morevisible. $64 didn't sound right, but I just wanted out at this point. Got home, added up what we ordered and it didn't matchup... Because I was charged for the beer I never received. I worked in restaurants as a busser, server, dishwasher and managerfor several years. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the food. The level of service we received here, wasterrible and ruined the experience of going out to eat. Very disappointing. Read more
Food tasted amazing but I was a little put off by the portions. I got 3 steak tacos... first one had more onion than steak,... second one was about even but didn't even fill the tortilla from one side to the other, and 3rd was perfect. I have pics of thelast 2 but I ate the first one there lol! Salsa was bland. Everything needed more cilantro but most places don't use enough forme. Salsa almost didn't have any though. Or anything else other than tomato. Rice and beans were good. Their cheese on the tacoswas amazing so creamy and so yummy! Staff was very friendly! Read more
We have always enjoyed getting take out from here. Today we got takeout and after my wife put down her soft taco from taking a... bite she noticed something strange. After looking closer it was a bloody fingerprint. We immediately called management to letthem know and their first response was it was from a cherry in the order. Not a cherry tomato but a cherry as in one that goesin a drink. We did not have anything with fruit. I asked for a phone number to text a picture to right away, did so, but theyadvised they did not get it. She then said that no one in the kitchen was bleeding at any part of the day today. You can see inthe picture it?s a perfect finger print with fresh blood. We brought it back in so they could see it in person and they stilldenied any wrong doing. This time every signal person that worked there had gloves on, including the servers which did not whenwe picked up the food. It honestly didn?t matter at this point I just find it funny when we got there everyone was wearinggloves. The problem I have is there was no reassurance that it would never happen again or knowledge there was even an issue.This could be very deadly to someone with any type of auto immune problems if there is any type of blood infection or diseasethe person working there has. Finally they offered a refund but only gave us some of the ticket back, not a total refund. Justmake sure you inspect your food before eating anywhere you get food from but expectantly here.
