When the hostess greeted us, she asked if we wanted to sit at the bar and be offered FREE chips and salsa. It was without a... doubt an offer we COULD NOT refuse. The service here was terrific, compared to other Applebee’s locations (specifically Hays,KS). The food here was also VERY good including the FREE chips and salsa. Our server (who was also the hostess and bartender)was VERY courteous and attentive. Despite it being game day in Manhattan, it was NOT AT ALL busy. Probably one of the last times I'll be going to Applebee's. Came in around 9:20pm was told after standing there for a bit it... would be a 10-15 minute wait, which I understand, It wassnt super busy but it did look like there was only 3 or 4 servers. Weended up waiting about 40 minutes to finally be seated. When we were seated we ordered our 3 drinks which took about 10 minutesto get and it was only our bar drinks, the Pepsi took 30 minutes to get after we had to ask about it twice. My first sharkbowlmargarita had a hair and a few other objects in it, I simply just asked for another cause accidents happen. When I got the othera couple minutes after it was served to me in a dirty glass with stuff all over the inside. Asked for it to just be taken off mytab and I didn't want another. We didn't get our food we ordered till 45 minutes after and it was partially cold. While otherpeople who came in after us and sat after us they got there food in like 10-15 minutes.(they wernt super busy and we didn'torder that much so don't quite understand that) Our server didn't even check on us after we ordered the food. We didn't get anyrefills and were waiting for one and never ended up getting. If we needed somthing we had to flag down another server who wassuper sweet and helped us out. The manager was nice enough comp part of our food. But otherwise the visit extremely upsetingexpecally when I was looking so forward too it. Will not be returning. Total waste of money and time. Service was terrible. The waitress did not bring our appetizer out before our meal.it was clear she forgot. She said she would... bring our dinner out later if we wanted but it was ready. The mozzarella sticks had been sitting for a long time so it was clearshe forgot about it. She also forgot our dessert. Our meal from beginning to end took 1.5 hours. Please explain why. “You get free chips and salsa if you sit at the bar”…. Got chips… after 10min I finally asked if we get salsa with it.... There was a max of 15 customers there and I counted 5 waiters. There was casual cursing across the bar from employees. Abartenders boyfriend came in 10 min after us and got drinks right away. I love hangin out at Applebees but not anymore, sadly. Read more

Place was pretty empty so we were sat quickly and our waitress was great. Asked for a Moscow mule & the bartender basically... yelled that they didn’t have ginger beer. No problem. Ordered one of the frozen margaritas but on the rocks, bartender told mywaitress “that would be nasty” and wouldn’t make it. I could hear everything she was saying because it was empty. Just sayyou don’t know how to make mixed drinks. When my friends got their drinks you could tell it was mostly ice. All 3 entrees werecold except for the side of garlic mashed potatoes. Asked for medium steak and got well done. Our waitress was incrediblyhelpful, offered replacements, and was very patient. Read more

I had not been to an Applebee's in a while. I have NO PLANS TO RETURN. I don't even know where to start! Appetizers: We ordered... spinach-artichoke dip. The dip was great! The chips, however, must've been from the bottom of the bag...not ONE of them was bigenough to use for dipping! NOT ONE! (Our "main" waitress kept sitting at a table with "friends" so we had to catch whoever waswalking by our table for help!) When we asked for more tea, it came to us with ice melted and warm. Next the baby back ribs hadno meat on them at all. A thin layer of skin stuck so tight to the bone...nothing "fell off" the bone but the BBQ sauce! Thechicken was so dry, I could barely swallow it. I gave up n left most of it. The shrimp was good. The mushrooms and sauté onionswere really good!! The garlic mashed potatoes were cold when they were served. We had to ask twice for silverware for both ofus. Only one set was brought to the table. We had plans to order dessert...we decided to quit before we paid for something elsethat was sub-par! One last comment, we were going to use the bathroom before we left...NO WAY WOULD I USE IT. I'VE SEEN CLEANER"OUTHOUSES"! You didn't provide just a regular lunch. You provided a random assemblage of deliciousness. ?n fact the food you apparently grew... with care and sang sweet lullabies to before being thrown into this arbitrary recipe of yours clearly seemed to volunteer tothis dish for the good of others. Eating this food was like watching joyful, happy people at a Christmas party that rivals aHollywood blockbuster. You didn't deliver just a regular lunch. You submitted a Gordon Ramsay 5 star cuisine. What a fun flashback. I started my 30 plus year career in restaurants here as an expo. Great to see its still going strong. Love... the new look inside. Gotta admit I was pretty burned out on Bee's food after working there forever but it was good to comeback. Food tonight was great. Our server Logan was on point. He took great care of us. Not sure about the fryed breadsticksthough??? I like the original garlic bread better. Read more
