Finally tried their Impossible burger (with vegan cheese) and it was amazing, very meat-like if that's a draw. They also still... have their original veggie burgers on the menu. Service was extremely quick and friendly. Read more

Most times I am very understanding of a restaurant being short staffed or super busy. I am patient and can get past that. What... vexes me is a restaurant who chooses violence when it comes to serving food they wouldn?t even feed their enemy. My friend and Iwent to this Johnny Rockets location and my friend ordered cheese fries. Now if you love food like we do, foodies know exactlywhat cheese fries are supposed to look like. Smooth, creamy hot cheese oozing all over the fries, right? So much so that youcan dip the fries in the cheese, right? Nope. Not at this location in Manhattan Beach. I would have had more respect for theestablishment if they said, ?Our apologies, we aren?t serving cheese fries due to lack of cheese sauce? or ?Our cheese friescome with slices of melted AMERICAN cheese. Is that okay with you??something along those lines. And any REALL FOODIE OR COOKknows: processed cheese does not melt the same as REAL cheese so my friend would have never ordered it if she new it was goingto turn out the way it did. But?.. Nope again. My friend orders and the waiter with her whole chest places a plate of frieswith three slices of greasy, processed AMERICAN cheese ?melted? on top. Excuse me, what? I kid you not, because it?s processedcheese it looked like yellow-orange plastic melted on top of a few fries. When my friend went to pick up a fry, all the cheesecame with it leaving a pile of fries on the bottom untouched by cheese. Although the water was great, the burgers were edibleas well as the tots and shakes, those ?cheese fries? alone were enough for us to say it?s pretty much a no for us. I hopemanagement takes preparing food more seriously and either takes it off the menu all together or bears down and gets that cheesesauce because that was highly unacceptable. Read more
