I wish I would have gotten just cheese pizza. The big rings of onion on top of the pizza just doesn't work. The whole onion... slides off and then the skins I have to slide out of my teeth. The other toppings were fine, but pizza restaurants should stickwith diced onions. It's more conducive to eating and enjoying the pizza and how pizza is intended. The nacho cheese sauce isreally good. I mean, it's like stadium cheese and probably really bad for you, but it has the texture and flavor of nachos at aballgame. We travel to Manistee about once every couple of months and never fail to get Big Al's. Their Stromboli's are the best ever.... They have so many options for food. Pizza and wings are great as well. Staff is so kind and quick to service us. I recommendstopping here to anyone I know heading that way! Read more
Big Al's is the best pizza place in all of the Manistee area, hands down. The sauce was premium, exceptional, and super tasty.... The pizza was particularly filling and had tremendous flavor/taste. The breadsticks were stunning. Everything was immaculatereally. All at an appropriate price as well. My friend that formally lived in Manistee informed me that this was the mostsatisfactory pizza establishment ever when I mentioned how Suttons Bay, Michigan had the Roman Wheel for their impressive pizzaand I will say Big Al's is undoubtedly a top prospect for competition against The Roman Wheel. I didn't think I would everdeclare that but yet here I am doing precisely that. This alone conveys plenty about the quality of pizza and food in generalthat is had here. Nice subs w a pretty fantastic sub sauce. I?d definitely recommend if you?re looking for sandwiches
Made a hotel stay, much more enjoyable. We debated on getting the Chicago with just cheese as some of the reviews suggested and... went with pepperoni, bacon instead. Busy little place. It has good simple food. You order at the counter. I can be a bit noisy but it's a place with kids and... families. Items are served simply on paper plates/baskets and such. The food was decent. Good Pizza/Sub hangout spot. Checkthem out and see what you think!?! Read more
