I get food here all the time. Always tastes great! Made fresh when you order it, it's not just sitting in a warning pan like at... other joints. My friends and I went here wanting Chinese food. They both ordered general Taos chicken asking for extra extra spice. I tried... the chicken and cannot handle spice and there was no spice whatsoever. I ordered cream cheese wontons, chicken sticks, andveggie lo mein. The food was so under seasoned that it was terrible. The food was cooked perfectly so if it was seasoned witheven a little salt it would have been good. Read more
Every time I go to China star I get exactly what I ordered. The service is great and they are all so nice. It gets really busy ,... but they all are working so hard to get your food to you quickly. First time I had China Star was in 2009 when I worked at Car-X Auto Shop. China Star was right next door, same building and very... convenient. Their food was awesome then and still is today. I ordered from China star with delivery by grubhub. I ordered sweet n sour chicken with lo mein, mine came with rice? Paid extra... for this not happy about that. That's not all, I ordered chicken lo mein got shrimp, I can't eat shellfish nice guess I justwasted $35. The sweet n sour chicken was decent and the lo mein I mean rice was good. I recently ordered takeout from China Star for a family dinner. Upon picking up the food, we noticed that several of the sides... we had selected were not in the bag. So, midway home, we turned around and returned to the store. I brought the bag of foodback in, and explained that the sides we had selected (and paid extra for) were not included in the order. The representativeat the front desk explained that the reason they were left out was that we didn't order dinner specials. I then took out myphone and showed her the receipt, clearly showing D6 and D22 off the dinner menu. She then seemed to talk in a circle for aminute, but ultimately said that we would not be getting the included sides. Upon opening the bag and starting to eat, wenoticed some serious quality issues with the food, with the foremost issue being the lack of meat. For example, a moreappropriate name for the "Mongolian Beef" would be "Mongolian Onions with a morsel of beef". The dish was at least 90% onionswith 3 very small pieces of meat in it. Another dish, Beef and Broccoli, was about 90% Broccoli and less than 10% meat -unacceptable in both cases at a price tag of $15 each. Ultimately, I would highly recommend avoiding China Star. With theomission of key sides that we ordered, the quality issues surrounding the dinner entrees, the dishonesty of the staff just tosave a few dollars, and the high price tag, everyone would be better off eating almost anywhere else. The lady put the order in wrong. Ordered chicken Lo Mein but received chicken chow mein. It was pretty good but still wrong.... They were busy when I went in there. We always go here when visiting our daughter. Read more
