No good. I get sick. When you walk in and it smells fishy, run away quick. I stick to McDonald's. Safer. Hi vee grocery... store has very good sushi. Food was wonderful and worth any sort of negativity. We came on Valentine's weekend with no reservations. So we waited about... 20-25 minutes. Once they did seat up, it was in the very back by the kitchen. Once seated, we did wait a little bit to getdrinks, and our food ordered. Once again, short staff, new staff, or it being abnormally busy... That's our fault. The chef whocame to our grill area looked an awful lot like the host who seated us. So I asked if he and the host were brothers. Long storyshort, the host was our chef! It was a fantastic habatchi experience. Great food with laughter. Two shrimp comes with most mealsalong with rice, noodles, soup, and vegetables. Once the meal was over, the chef came back and admitted he was not only the hostbut the owner. The owner knew how overwhelmed his staff was, how impatient the customers were, and stepped in to save the day!If you are hesitant about this restaurant due to poor reviews, don't be. This was our first time at Shogun Sushi and Hibachi in Mankato, Minnesota. The Waiter was Jakx and our Chef was Simon. Both... provided excellent service and a Japanese amazing show on the grill! The restaurant and even the bathrooms were very clean. Thefood was very good. I had New York Steak and Shrimp. They also have a full bar. We got there at 6 pm and you could tell it was apopular place! I highly recommend this place for your romantic or birthday celebration! We will be back! Read more
We had a reservation for 630pm and were seated right away at a hibachi table. The rest of the guests had hibachi. The chef took... awhile to arrive but it was quite busy. The show was fun and entertaining. I had edamame; they were overcooked and I do notrecommend. I also had the seaweed salad which was delicious and huge. Very much worth it. I ordered 2 spicy tuna rolls and onespicy salmon roll. Very delicious. Overall my bill was $36 with the tip. Not bad. I would recommend this location. Read more
