this place can be good and all but the employees are horrible!!! Having irresponsible people makes it bad on them, it has been 3... times where they close the door on us before closing time which is why I?m leaving this review . First time the owner was niceenough to help but the last 2 times i don?t know if they are keeping her but they don?t provide her contact or when I ask whenshe?ll be at the store , they say she?s in a Mexico trip . These same teenagers are the ones messing up orders as the other Iordered a Topo Chico preparado and it wasn?t like it always is and when ask to remake , she rolled her eyes . Delicious place! The young ladies were very sweet, the inside was clean, cute. The churros were very sweet, they did not lack... any sugar lol. Been there three times now. Went with wife and did carry out ice cream. Ice cream was ok but definitely WAY overpriced. Second... time dine in w/ a friend. Birria tacos. Not traditional but good enough to go back for them. Took wife 3rd time on 4th of July.NO ONE else in the place but us. Lady who makes the tacos wasn't there, other employees don't know how to make them. So weordered nachos and 2 cans of coke. 26 dollars! So we sat down at a table and waited... and waited... and waited. 19 minuteslater....WORST NACHOS ON THE PLANET! Meat on top looked 3 days old -at least- and it was 75 percent fat and gristle. My wifetook one bite and was immediately grossed out. She never took another bite. I tried to pick out and eat around the fat but itwas impossible. I asked for some TO GO containers because at this point I was mad and didn't want to go off on an employee. Wegot home and I tried to pick off the fat and gristle but it just wasn't worth it. 26 dollars worth of food went in the trash. Itried to call the owner multiple times but they never answer. I left a couple messages on the voice-mail but never got a callback. Go there with your wallet full.... ice cream is ok. Go to the local gas station for nachos. Not only do they have Ice Cream and Pops but some food items and other treats from churros to snow cones. Definitely stop by if... you wanting something cold to stop by. You can eat it there very clean compared to others around the area or order to go. Theonly thing I would say is if you are ordering at the drive through, pay attention because the volume on the speaker box is superlow. Read more

So I was craving an elote today and googled "elotes near me" and Helados came up, which I had already passed by them and made a... mental note that I wanted to try them. But now I Google and find out they have elotes?! And a drive thru so I dont need to getout of the comfort of my car?? Score! So I drive over there, the menu looks so good so I decided to get chocolate bananas withpecans and churros as well!! Now I am from El paso Texas, bordertown to Mexico so these things are staples to my childhood andI'm also very picky about! Lol But let me tell you elote was delicious! Sweet good flavored corn, generous toppings and theyactually have the homemade chile!! Not just valentina! Chocolate covered banana with pecans was refreshing and delicious aftermy elote! Churro was delicious as well, crispy nice and fried on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Not hard or oldtasting which I've had from other places. Very satisfied with all the items I purchased! And the girl in the drive thru was verynice, quick and attentive and made sure to ask if there was anything else I needed and made sure I had lots of Chile on myelote! Lol Thank you Helados! Lives up to the hype- a Mansfield hidden gem that is a must try! I finally visited after hearing such great reviews. There are... so many options! From ice cream to popsicles (fruity and creamy) to some specialty items. They even have a mermaid ice creamwhich not only looks pretty but contains blueberry muffins! I chose the latte popsicle and loved it. Great flavor and textureand doesn?t melt quickly like traditional popsicles. Others I was with had the lime popsicle and strawberry popsicle withpositive feedback. Staff was friendly and helpful. The inside is super cute with lots of seating, decor and plants.
