This place was highly recommended to me. I visited with my three grown kids. When we walked in there were maybe two or three... occupied tables. The sign said, "seat yourself", which we did, and it took about 5 minutes to be acknowledged by thewaitress. She took our drink order and didn't come back for about 7 minutes. Then she took the order for me and two of my kids,and then abruptly walked away, not realizing she hadn't gotten four orders. She realized her mistake after a few minutes andcame back. When the food was ready, it was brought out by the kitchen staff, not her. I point this out to emphasize that eventhough the place was nearly dead and there was at least one other server in the place, she still seemed to need help managingher two tables. The food was perfectly acceptable. Nothing worth writing home about or making a return visit. We ordered anappetizer sampler, which include fried pickles. When they are done well, I think fried pickles are amazing. These tasted likethey came out of the freezer section at the grocery store. They were hardly worth eating and a big disappointment. According tothe website, they offer smoking and non-smoking sections, but the whole place smelled like cigarettes. For me, that was mildlyannoying, but for some, it is a big problem. After finishing, we waited several minutes for the waitress to come check on us sowe could pay and get out. She had given us only the bare minimum amount of attention all night. When she asked about the checks,I told her how we wanted them split up and she left to take care of that. When she dropped them off, I realized that she haddone it wrong. We should have had three separate checks, but we only had two. I tried to explain the error, politely, but shecut me off and offered an excuse as to why she messed up and left again, in a hurry. The food and service was very good and quite cheap for what we got. The only downside to the place is that it smells heavily of... cigarettes, but even that fades and becomes unnoticeable after a few minutes of being in there. Overall a very pleasantexperience! Horrible service. Never have to worry about me returning. Ordered a drink and was ignored by the bartender the entire time. ... Asked for my check and he left. I?ve been to another location and decided to try this one with the great anticipation of the chicken wings. Upon entering , we... were hit by the strong and overpowering smell of cigarette smoke. Not normal these days with the advancement of filtrationsystems. The place was moderately busy. We decided to sit at the bar and sat there about 10 minutes without being greeted byany employees. We couldn?t even get an acknowledgment when trying to get the bartenders attention. I know restaurant/barestablishments claim staffing issues and I completely understand that, but we were ignored by the staff when by trying to gettheir attention. I go here often and Chad is the bartender that's always got a great attitude and is just a cool guy to have at the bar plus the... fried mushrooms and fried pickles are good as hell, might need a bit of salt though.
