We've been driving out of way many times to try different sushi places and find one we really liked, but we had not had the... chance to try Sushi Gio before. We did tonight for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised. The search is over, and wehave found our favorite sushi place. We tried different items and each was delicious, my favorites were the paradise roll, theveggie and shrimp tempura, and the Yaki udon Noodle. 10/10 would recommend for several reasons: the food was just exquisite andfresh; the service was awesome, even though they were busy; and the ambiance was very authentic. Good local spot for sushi! Sushi was yummy and sashimi was fresh. I enjoyed everything but the tempura crab. The tempura crust... was so so and crab itself tasted bitter and mushy. My family and I have been going to Sushi Gio since they opened. The owners are very friendly and are always accommodating. On... our last visit my 8 year old daughter wasn?t feeling well (car sick) but she wanted to stop by and eat there. The chef and hisson Jim were very kind and tried to make my daughter feel better and offered her a kid?s Japanese drink. My daughter feltbetter, ate her favorite shrimp tempura and dumplings and was a happy kid after. Overall, I highly recommend Sushi Gio not onlybecause they have great food but also because they are great owners. They will go above and beyond for their customers. Theycare about their customers! The interior looks inviting. The walls have Japanese art. A TV on the back wall showing a Japanese series. The background music... is Japanese pop on low volume. The place has only 15 seats, but tastefully decorated. We must re-visit for a dine-in. Weordered take-out. Vegetable tempura for appetizer. Delicious. We ate it so fast, I forgot to take a photo of it! For the maincourse, we had a Fire Roll and a Salmon Torched Roll. Look at their menu to see what they are. We love salmon. Everything wasfresh and delicious. The chef makes everything fresh. A delayed delivery can ruin the freshness for you. I liked Sushi Gio. Myphotos don?t do justice to the dishes. I almost don't want to write this review because selfishly I want to keep this gem of a sushi restaurant all to myself but I... guess they deserve all the ? stars! The quality of the food is top notch! I usually like a few things on the menu of anyrestaurant but I honestly have not ate anything here that I don't like. I eat a lot of ???? sushi and consider myself a foodieso it's rare to find such quality. The chef is superb and super generous with the sushi and fish portions. Him and his wife(works in the kitchen) owns the place and the pride of ownerships shows in the quality. Jim our server is the chef's son and issuper polite and loves what he does. Best of all, their menu prices are very reasonable. We eat here about 2-3x a week. My kidslove it and the wife approves the fish which is good for lowering my bad cholesterol.
