Hidden gem by the lake. We had breadsticks (a must), sandwiches (pulled pork, BLT w/avocado, & Philly), and pizza. The star of... the show was definitely the pizza. My boys devoured it. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff friendly. I also loved thatthey sourced local. MI soda and even the chips were made in Detroit. You get chalk to write on the table. Been coming here for years and keep telling my friends about this place. Unfortunately my opinion this time is different. 1.... They messed up half of our order, which happens, but instead of being us the wrong size pizza so we could get started they saidthey were going to remake it. 2. When it arrived, it was wrong, the cheese bread that we always loved was burned. The pizza wasmediocre in flavor. 3. When we mentioned something to the waitress after we asked how things were, she looked at the cheesebread and said ?s**t? while I was there with my 2 kids at the table. 3. No apology from the owner which was present. Not even alook, nod, or I?m sorry. With how many times we have been here. The care for customers and the love for the food hasdisappeared. Detroit Pizza better than Buddy's! There's great pizza all over the Leelanau Peninsula, but this is the best. They also have... sandwiches with homemade corned beef and pastrami which get rave reviews. I don't eat beef, but they look great and LARGE. Read more
Jive ?Reuben? with corned beef and coleslaw is just super tasty like everything on their menu! You just cant go wrong! Not to... forget the chef?s awesome pizza! The entire market 22 team does a wonderful job and we love spending our weekends after a bikeride here to regenerate! Read more
We stopped in for a late lunch on Thursday -so glad we did! Excellent service, and the food was wonderful! Draft craft beer... for both of us, a perfectly grilled cheese sandwich for me. Hubby said it was truly the best Reuben he has had in a while!!! Weshould have stopped at half, but it was so good! Already planning a return visit before we head home. Pizza with a side of FLIES! There were plenty of open seats but service was terribly slow. We were told pizzas would take 20-30... min - which is pretty normal. After almost an hour we got our pizzas. Which in the time it took for us to get our pizza we wereswarmed with fruit flies. They were everywhere. On our drinks, covering the wall and pictures. So many to the point we didn'twant to be eating inside and would rather eat in our car. We were told good things about this place so sadly it was prettyhorrible. The food was good (after eating in our car) Our server only stopped by 4 times during the whole time. To bring uswater and take our food and drink order, drop off drinks, drop off pizza, and give us the check. So for being in there for overan hour and 20 minutes that seems crazy to us. The server was rude when trying to pay as she said everyone is trying to do thesame thing..... This is the type of experience I would expect at a low run DENNY'S..... Read more
