After a day at starved rock stopped in after as we saw the city had the block blocked off. Outside tables were half used and... staff member said no one could sit at empty seats because they were at capacity, which was not true and said the manager saidthat what you see is what they set capacity at. So we went inside and sat at bar. It was busy so took 15 mins for a bartenderto look our way even thou we were at the bar. Ordered drinks and food. Took 1 hour 26 mins for our bar sandwich to come outwhich was the worst rueben I have ever had which is sad that Arby?s makes a better one at 6 bucks vs 16 that theycharge. Corned beef you couldn?t bite thru, thousand island was light, sauerkraut was light and rye bread was overtoasted. Dive bar with dive bar food but chicago prices but dive bar service. A small town pub with a small town feel. Bar tender is also the server normally. Small selection of traditional pub food, cooked... well. The wraps are worth a try, fries are good. They have a ton of trendy micro-brew on tap and you can go there to samplelots of different local breweries. Read more
It was a nice pit stop before the city. Food was expe sive but no other options when we were there.
We love this place! My husband is a proud member of the mug club. We always try a flight from the phenomenal selection. The... craft cocktails are insanely good. We often order apps or the burger of the month. The chicken sandwich and grilled cheese isalways prepared perfectly and never disappoints. The service is top notch! Dylan the manager is always welcoming and veryknowledgeable. We will keep coming back and love to bring out of town guests. Read more
Very cool spot, worth a special trip! We stopped in on our way home from vacation, as they were the only restaurant open in... town. The place is quaint, and the food was delicious! Tracey took excellent care of us, despite it being very busy! We orderedthe ?Chicago?s Best? burger and cheese curds, and I drank a delicious strawberry vodka cocktail. We will definitely be back! Our friend from Sycamore brought us here and what a hidden gem!!! Wonderful current atmosphere and vibe. Bloody Mary's with food... skewers +++ were to die for???????? I've been wanting to visit the Lodi Tap House for some time now. But I finally, finally made it. Right off, the griddle top... burger was good. Properly made, nothing too exciting...but that's as it should be. Cheese curds were awesome, fries weregood. The chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious! I could really see this chicken sandwich going well with an authenticNashville Hot Chicken sauce (owners...please do this...nobody in this area has a proper hot chicken) All in all, the food wasreally good. But the beer list was also just as thoughtful. All Illinois beer, all smaller breweries. Every beer they haddeserved to be served. So nice to see.
