Decided to try this place on a recent trip to St Paul. We were staying down the street so we thought we'd give it a try. On a... Friday evening, no wait for a table, though it was busy. Ordered chip guac and some drinks to start. While all 3 salsas weregood, they were unbelievably hot, and I'm a guy who puts hot sauce on many different foods. My poor gf couldn't even eat any ofthe salsa because it was so spicy. Table next to us also we're commenting on how spicy it was as they had ordered the same. Ialso had a burrito that was very good and would order again. Overall, good food, attentive service, and I would gladly returnon another visit. Read more

I LOVE Barrio. One of my goto places for tacos, guac and chips, and very tasty margaritas! It is a bit pricier than the usual I... would say, but their food is worth the price in my opinion. Especially the margaritas. Made just perfect every time and superrefreshing. Only downfall is the parking is terrible. It's downtown Saint paul and you're either fighting for street parking andpay the meter, or have to go park and pay in the ramp. Read more

Dining area needs a deep cleaning/sanitation lacking at the St. Paul location. Staff was welcoming and efficient. Appetizer and... drinks were excellent. Wanted to stay for addition food, but if they can’t clean where the public sits; how is the kitchen? Tables were set for new customers with visible food residue left on tables and chairs. Window ledges at elbow height werefilthy. The “clean” plate I was given wasn’t clean. It appears that cleaning has been neglected for some time and thatthis is “normal”. I was disappointed. You can do so much better than this. I would come back if the problem is recognizedand rectified. Please give me a reason to return! Thank you. Read more
