Me and my daughter sat down for dinner, our waitress didn?t understand English so she couldn?t understand anything we were... ordering. The waitress then had to go get another lady to translate what I was trying to order and that were just noodles. Thewoman walks alway I had to call her back because she never took my daughter order. After taking her order she forgot her soup,brings it back room temperature. Our food ended up coming, my daughter as any other young picture of food taker snapped apicture of her food and noticed hair in her noodles up under the noodles as she was mixing it up. We called over the waitresswho didn?t understand what we were saying and tried explaining to her, she then calls the other lady and we had to explain nowto a second person about the hair. They then brought my daughter her plate back and scooped the hairy noodles off the plate andbrings back her meat and veggies which are now cold. . I called the lady back over to let her know that and then i requested fora manager to come. He came out already with an attitude and tell me as if I?m slow or something that they cook the food 1 by 1.I said sir I really just want new food and new plate her food had hair in it and she needs new hot food. He gets mad and tell usto leave. And yelled about it. I kept my cool because 1st I?m a representative of Christ and second I?m also a leader for mydaughter. But what the MANAGER at Osaka?s in MAPLEWOOD will not do is yell at me like I?m a kid and make us leave because of thehair noodles In a dirty plate. Please do not give your money to this establishment! If you make the mistake of dining here, make sure to double check your... bill. My experience was horrible with poor service and mediocre food. If I could give them zero stars I would. Absolutely disappointing!! Ordered sushi and it was old and brown! Also ordered the... hibachi meal and my steak was swimming in grease, the noodles where dry, the vegetables where swimming in something and thefried rice was regular white rice colored to resemble it. Everything down to the yum yum sauce had no flavor other than waterygrease!! $150 later was completely not worth it! Also, the hibachi meal was in a bento plate making the meal so much smallerthan what other Osaka's give you. I will never return to this location! Read more
Absolutely love this place. Every time I get to go it lifts my spirits. Definitely get the Hibachi when you go, and yes it does... come with the chef preparing it in front of you, complete with corny jokes and clever juggling tricks and audienceparticipation. It's a seriously good time and the food is both excellent and filling. I don't even usually like broth soups butthe onion soup that comes with the Hibachi meal is good enough to be a meal by itself. Visited for lunch shortly after opening. Wasn't busy but seemed only one woman unknown position(possible manager) was making... things run. Was greeted by her, seated by her as well as her being my server. She was attentive, even suggested things on menuand a drink to try. Service was good but food wasn't as good of quality as I remember many years ago. Quantity was plenty had 3servings. This location could use some updating. Read more
They need to figure out how to count. They had too many tables seated for the two circulating chefs. We waited a while to be... seated despite having a reservation. Then we were seated for over an hour before we even received the beverages we orderedbesides water. Once the server realized we'd been neglected she tried to recover, and was clearly frustrated at their obviousstaffing shortage. But it was still another 20 minutes before getting our soup/salad. The other party at our table finallygave up and left. Eventually Chef Dante was able to come prepare our dinner. He was wonderful. Fun, friendly, and anexcellent chef. Food was terrible! This was all I could eat from my plate because it taste so bad. The sauce for the rice was like water. I did... let our server know the food was gross they didn?t do anything about it, he was literally a kid and I think he just didn?t knowhow to handle it. I just paid and left I didn?t want to give the kid a hard time he was a sweetheart but I would never eat hereagain. Read more
