The food was okay, it has been better before. They said they had one yellowtail left when I ordered but it did not taste like a... yellowtail, asked to confirm. Afterwards, we went inside to take a picture and they STILL had one yellowtail filet in the showcase. So obviously that's not what I ate. I will mostly not be back. Outside area is a nice place to sit for the Keys when it'snot too hot. Edible food. BUT the Alfredo sauce was liquid and lacked flavor. The shrimp was decent. The shrimp po boy not wasprobably the best out of all of them. Disappointing, really. The biggest issue was the lying of what my fish was. It definitelywasn't a yellowtail filet that I paid for. We stopped here for lunch and we had gotten two burgers blacked triple tail plater with a coslaw and a side salad with a sweet... soy vinaigrette and a El Paso salad with blackened shrimp. When we sat down we saw a rooster by our table! It was supercool! Would definitely stop by if you could! Read more

My favorite so far, gator and fried mahi bites were great, we had a side salad, sirloin steak sandwich and a lobster po boy with... potato salad. It was delicious. Not as crowded was background music was low and delightful. Great place to go! Read more

Our dinner at Brutus was an unexpected, wonderful surprise! We had overlooked making dinner reservations for our party of 7.... Brutus was able to accommodate us with a 1 hour wait, where other restaurants had a 2+ hour wait. Their online menu is morecasual, but their IN HOUSE special menu is amazing! BEST dinner we've had in Marathon! The service is above and beyond, the food is the freshest and tastiest around and the owner... will make your meal exactly how you like it. The Shrimp Melt is the most scrumptious sandwich I've ever had. The shrimp dinnermy husband had was out of this world, so fresh and tasty. We've gone back twice during our vacation, it's THAT good. I kept seeing Brutus Seafood mentioned on the What?s Happening in Marathon fb page, so we decided to check it out. We made... reservations for 8pm but didn?t really need them when we got there. We were seated right away in the outside Tiki bar, andordered the margarita and the great white which was like a daiquiri. Both were wine based, and probably the best wine basedcocktails we have had. We were happy to see they had grouper, and the Brutus platter was grouper, shrimp, and a lobster tail.The food came out pretty fast. We were a little disappointed the grouper was so tiny because that is what we were here for. Wewere thinking it would be a lobster tail added on to a grouper platter, but it was more like the lobster tail was the focus withjust a very small piece of grouper and 2 shrimp on the side. It was very delicious and the cooking method and seasoning wasmouthwatering and delicious. Hopefully, the grouper would be larger in a platter by itself. This place has delicious food if your in Marathon and haven?t tried it your missing out. Its a small restaurant and could be... easily missed driving by. The staff is attentive, and polite. They are a dog friendly restaurant with indoor and outdoorseating. I ordered a ribeye sandwich and I wasn?t in 1 bit disappointed. Very flavorful! Read more
