Hemingway said ?I drink to make other people more interesting.? That is the genius of Mr Bs. Because if you don?t drink when you... are there, you will surely die of boredom. As a result of their genius, the extremely limited staff can?t keep drinks in thehands of all the thirsty patrons. Most dive bars have a unique charm, the French would say ?I don?t know what? or je ne saisquoi. And I certainly don?t know what keeps people coming back to Mr Bs. Maybe it is the sense of so many people participatingin nothing that builds anticipation for something to happen. And maybe that?s what makes the karaoke night so amazing. Beprepared for excruciating renditions of radio Country you wish you had forgotten followed by impressive takes on unexpectedchoices. The owners are such cool people. Don't like the smoke. But it's always fun on a Saturday night!
Just ok. Decent prices for beers plus one of the few places open at 2am. But man it smells so much like smoke. I am not a... smoker but usually to much gives me a headache so couldn't stay to long. They don't have draft beers no ciders so don't expectthose either. Probably won't go again.. Read more
Seemed cool door was open lights on and people inside before 2am but was closed. Trying to find a cool after hours hangout here... since I'm used to Austin. May suggest locking the door or putting the closed sign or open sign off when close. Up to y'allthough. Will try an earlier time next time since there isn't much open past 8/9/10 on week days here in Marble Falls. One of thegirls complimented my jacket on the way out though and that was sweet. Will come back. Just haven't quite figured it out yet. Read more
Been about 4 years since I set foot in here. It was fine before. And it is cleaner now. I used to love watching NFL here. It has... the same bones as before. Plenty of TVs for many games. Stopped selling Heineken but I settled for Stella. Read more
Came once last year, bartender was extremely rude so my boyfriend and I left. Decided to come back recently to give it another... shot and the bartender assumed my boyfriend had been drinking too much and didn?t even let us order a drink. My boyfriend hadn?teven had a drink that night yet, he was swiveling on the stool back and forth while we waited for her and that?s what made herthink that. Never coming back. Read more
Came here with a date but it turned bad pretty quick so I was stuck here for a while. My only biggest complaint is the smoke... smell. It is VERY strong. Aside from that though, the people are really nice, especially the owner and doorman. Drink prices arereasonable and it can be a great place to come out and have a good time in the city. They have pool tables too. I love thatthey are open until 2am! Being from Austin where they had a robust nightlife, I was happy to enjoy that. Thanks to Steve e ownerfor wanting to help me out and give me a ride home. Very kind gesture and thanks to the group who did take me home. It was stilla decent night out all things considered. Great place to watch Sports locally. Relatively inexpensive. Good tables, and great local company!
