Nice place to stay, with nice rooms, and a nice restaurant and bar with friendly staff. However, a load of rock in the parking... lot in front of the rooms would go a long way to keep the mud/dirt from being tracked in. Read more
Didn't stay at inn only ate at restaurant. Very good fried walleye. Had fried pickles and cheese curds both very good. Excellent... service from Holly our server. Would go again if in area. Read more
This was (by far) the best meal that I have had Up North (Minnesota). It was a busy Friday night, and my wife and I sat at the... bar. The bartender made recommendations that were spot on. We ordered the appetizers, a main course and desserts... everythingwas incredible! We then stayed at a room in the Inn. The Inn was a decent value; however there were a few cleaning issues thatwere missed (just with our room). It is difficult to rate the bar/restaurant and the inn together as the dining was exceptionaland the stay at the inn was OK. Overall, we will be back and in spite of what I said about the Inn, we will likely stay again. Read more
i am sad to not be able to give more stars as our resort hosts highly recommended timberwolf for a nice dinner out for our... family of 6. the salad bar was not properly kept clean or at safe temperatures (warm pickled herring anyone?), and i know, iknow the service industry has been hit hard but you simply have to hire more help or remove tables you can?t serve. ourappetizers were cold and our entrees had obviously been under heat lamps. the scalloped potatoes had raw, crunchy onion bits andwas barely warm by the time they hit our table. kids menu items were burned/over fried. our wonderful server was working sohard but you can?t ask the impossible out of one server in a full dining room. close some tables, hire some more help, andteach the cooks how to time their prep. A party of three was seated and then ignored for over 30 minutes. Finally, we had to approach the counter and ask for a server.... The fish fry was average. Two in our party thought the fish was thin and overly breaded. The blueberry pie slice was smalland tasteless. Not worth a return trip. Read more

I didn't not stay here, we just came for a meal. It's clean, comfortable and cozy. Food is good but the menu is limited.
