Great service, very fair prices. Old school Florida feel

The atmosphere was better than the food. I walked in for lunch, was asked if ?I?d be sitting to eat like a normal person because... you people tend to be on the go?? not sure what that meant but I gave it the benefit of doubt? The chowder was watery and thestrudel tasted like it had government cheese in it with no flavor from the seafood. I ate what I could because I was hungry butdidn?t finish it. Wow. We've waited almost 2 years to experience their German specialty, the Saurbraten. What a terrible disappointment, nothing... like it should be or even is at a Motorest in Germany. A couple of hunks of over done beef that wore out the jaw muscles to getpast the first piece! To be fair, the only reason for elevating the rating to 1 star was a delectable Seafood Strudel. Turkey dinner special was very good, however the pork chop diner was not. The pork chop was very fatty and very tough. My... husband could not even eat it. Fortunately there was enough turkey for both of us. He will not order the pork chop here again.The manager visited our table to apologize and removed the charge for the chop. Great place to eat. Very unassuming. Server was very friendly and made excellent recommendations. Cream of asparagus soup was... outstanding! Food was excellent and received promptly. Apple strudel and carrot cake were excellent dessert choices. Read more

The service was friendly but for price paid we expected more flavor. It was not offensive and the interior of the restaurant... was pleasant. I think they may be targeting an older dining crowd or those with more conservative palates, which is fine if yourealize their demographic and the preferences that come with it. Read more
