This was our 2nd experience with Barrels...once for take-out and this time dining in. This stop in meal was very, very good. We... had a delicious dinner at an appropriate price with super service. We will visit Barrels again...soon. We have a vacation homein Ventnor and Barrels of Margate is very convenient and well worth another visit. We ordered out from Barrels. Food was mediocre. My chicken tasted like cardboard. I also got the cheese steak egg roll. ... Horrible. All dough. Hardly any meat or cheese. Just a poor excuse for a restaurant. Will never return. Read more
We wanted to try a new place to eat. Made reservations for dinner sat outside. The service was very slow. I wanted something... light so I ordered chicken cutlet salad; finally got my chicken cutlet salad the chicken was cold. The waitress never checked inwith us to ask if we needed anything which I found very disturbing. It took forever to get our check she came out to give usour check. I will not be returning here again. Nice environment & staff! However the food was really pretty bad - not fresh, not as advertised on the menu, the seafood was not... cooked properly. And they charged more on the bill than the price listed on the specials menu. Overpriced for what it is. Read more
Received takeout last night and the food was terrible. Linguine with Bolognese sauce should have more than a spoonful of meat.... The sauce had no taste as though it had been watered down. If they are incapable of the simplest Italian dish, I recommendrunning in the other direction before spending more money than a Chef Boyardee can, which might actually taste better. I wouldgive 0 stars if it was possible. Read more
The past three times I?ve ordered from here they have messed up my food. I ordered grilled chicken Parm this evening in which... they gave me regular. The label clearly said grilled and then when they red-delivered it it came the same way. Then somebodycalled me saying I was making all this up and after an hour and a half of waiting I finally got the right food and was told Ihad to give the first two back because I made this all up. All they did was take off the charge after wasting 2 hours of myevening waiting for this food. Read more
Barrels used to be very good pre pandemic. I don't know if it's new management now or what but the service and food quality has... really slipped. We ordered out and everything was mediocre and tasted frozen. When we told the staff they said "You ordered 5frozen ravioli and that's what you got". Unacceptable from a place that used to be a favorite. Read more
Food always taste fresh and seasoned nicely without the salty taste. The soups are excellent
