Food was delicious, and atmosphere was relaxing. Arrived right before closing and they let me stay and eat in. Friendly place to... eat and enjoy your meal. I really like the theme of the place. 2nd time in a week. Blue ribbon 4 piece chicken dinner with rice and gravy and mashed po-taters and gravy for 11.99. Fabulous.... My sons got the two porkchop dinner and the catfish and cracked for 11.99 each. My wife got the chicken and during for 10.99.Topped off with blackberry and apple cobbler with a scoop of ice cream. I told the waitress no spices. So I sent it back to get shrimp and grits, plus the grits were uncooked (she said it was a... different grits). She had the chef cooked more shrimp in butter, and better grits. Read more
Somewhere in the middle between Pensacola and Tallahassee is a small town Marianna... And there is a delicious buffet Po... Folks!!! Ohh that chicken falling right off the bone...and salad is fresh, and mashed potatoes just like cooked at home. I'mfrom Vegas, so I have my share of buffet experience... but this one is GOOOD!!! The restaurant did not disappoint! We wanted a home cooked southern meal. Po Folks hit the spot. The food was delicious. Almost... everything was made to order. The biscuits and hush puppies were fresh out of the oven, the chicken tenders were breaded andcooked perfectly. We wanted to try a few items on the menu and also enjoyed the kuntry fried steak and chicken and dumplingsmeals. We will definitely come back. Read more
Really great food for the price and EXCELLENT waitress! I got the pick 2 dinner with pork chop and chicken fried steak, my... husband got the fisherman's meal and we shared with our kiddo. The fish, krab cake, and shrimp were Delicious! I say go forseafood, my items were "good". The greenbeans and the red beans/rice were just "ok" The fried green tomatoes appetizer were SOgood, highly recommend! The cane syrup on the table was great on the biscuit! I hadn't been to a Po Folks in years so while traveling we spotted one and was excited about eating there. My husband and... mother-in-love ordered the fried catfish, okra, greens and hush puppies and I had liver and onions with green beans, rice andgravy.
