Last Saturday my wife and I stopped at Catfish Hox after attending a Band Competition at Sprayberry HS. We found the staff... professional helpful and truthful when I asked if they tasted something on the menu. I've eaten here 4 times over the last two years. Decent BBQ fare, pretty good, not GREAT, definitely not bad. Here's the deal... with this place, it's about 35% more expensive than it should be. The portions are not overly generous, and the quality isn'tsomething that puts it heads above the other BBQ restaurants in the area. I ordered dinner for 2 adults and 2 children, it was$90! LOVE supporting vet-owned businesses... But this was a 5 star trip even if it weren't. Amazing food and awesome service. Red... beans and rice like back in Louisiana, great fish, pork rinds so fresh they were still popping when they got to the table. Doyourself a favor and order a side of the Voodoo sauce regardless of what you decide on; shoe leather would be tasty slatheredwith it. Read more
Server was cold and dismissive. Started walking away before we were done placing our orders. The food was hot and came out very... quickly, which is awesome, but one of my pieces of fish smelled very off and I expected more food for the price. Tried this restaurant today 5/18/22… had been wanting to stop in before but could never find time. Ordered out, my food was... sealed upon delivery so I’m happy about that. I love okra so it was delicious but the fish on the other hand was very blandand burnt????! Not sure how it’s being seasoned prior to frying but the seasoning isn’t sticking. Hush puppies weredelicious as well. I would say I’ll be returning but upon eating my mean I find a piece of hair fried onto my fish so yeait’s a definite no for me! Read more

The food was awesome. Best hushpuppies i ve ever tasted. Pork rinds were still cracklin at the table and the vinegar dip was... fabulous. Hubbys blackened catfish was mild and perfectly cooked. My tacos were good but i would have liked them to be moresaucy. Just a little dry. Still, cant wait to go back! The server was chilly. She tried to seat us two at a tiny table closebetween two large, loud tables. She said the empty fourtop had to be saved in case of a bigger party.
